Congrats on the win over Germany. Back in the day, seems like the college teams usually beat other national teams. Now, it's not so easy.

I was wondering if there were any comments from the UK players/coaches on the Molten (brand) basketball that was used. Seems like that ball is used everywhere in the world except for here in the US. I think the Molten ball has a few more "ribs" on it. I haven't seen the stats, but it seems like the ball didn't hurt UK's shooting. Did anyone say if they liked or disliked the ball?

I haven’t heard any player comments about it (mainly because Jerry Tipton is no longer around to ask), but they practiced with it for a couple weeks before heading to Canada. Didn’t seem to be a problem for them.

Now using one ball the entire regular season and then switching to a different one for the NCAA tournament? That’s just stupid.

A shame about Jerry. Didn't know that. BTW I thought Givens was good. Sometimes cut in too early on Tom's play-by-play, but not a big deal. I think he will be fantastic.

I don’t know but it’s funky looking, I will say usually the US has a harder time shooting in international competition and that could be a huge reason. I’ve shot balls like that before and they feel different and not as smooth coming off your hand to me.

It's the same weight, 17.9 oz. I think, and just a hair smaller, It's inbetween the women's and NCAA balls.
