It’ll be a miracle if Mo stays on the team. Dude is just a weird cat and at some point Frost might not have it in him to baby sit

^^ This^^ Going to paraphrase what DB said after game on 1620. ......he’s a emotional dude, needs a lot of reassurance, perhaps immature to a point and unable to manage certain things thrown his way...... Also mentioned feels SF will be loyal to Mo since Mo has shown that loyalty to SF/Nebraska in past.

Wouldn’t bother me. Said he was soft last year and still feel the same this year. Done nothing to offset the headaches that I can see.

He is a weird guy. Unreal talent, but very immature. Not surprised, shoot he’s only 19 yrs old. Hope he can mature and keep developing over this season and next. Guy adds 10-15lbs he’s going to be tough to stop.

Forcast for Minneapolis next week is 39 and snow so I doubt Washington plays much. Once it gets below 40 he goes into hibernation.

I would piss my pants if someone handed me the ball and told me charge ahead while 300# men were trying to destroy me - having said that - it looks like Mo very much dislikes contact

there have also been reports that he is having a hard time distinguishing between minor irritations that all players play through and true injuries that keep one out of the game

he is supremely talented but I have concerns as to whether or not he is a football player- in high school he was so much more athletic than his opponents that the game was more like flag football

None of you guys know Maurice Washington or what his life experiences have been. Thank God I didn't have people on a public message board judging me by some of my stupid behavior when I was his age.

What does internal issues mean and why is everyone so upset?

Might have been a bowel obstruction. If that's the case, Frost was very tactful in his description and I'm glad Mo was able to return in the second half.

Have you ever been in Stockton during the winter? Fog in January is a miserable kind of cold.

Disliking contact and running behind this offensive line is not a great combination.

I'm not a football coach, but i don't think running Washington between the tackles (like the carries he got yesterday) puts him in the best position to succeed.

Agree, I suppose they have no option other wise every defense would figure out it’s going to be a wide play when he is in..

Lay off him.. WTH is the matter with you people? Can you Imagine a healthy Mo and Wandale on the field at the same time next year? If we get a solid RB, we would be lethal.

Were you ever in the public eye? Are you representing a large university and their football program? What does it take to agree that this kid needs professional help?
When he committed a felony, several posts said he was done. Others said Frost could help him. Since then, at least what we know, he flipped off a football team on television, caught breaking team rules and the law(smoking pot), and suspended for internal reasons. What is the line exactly? How many other coaches would allow this behavior?

Agree 100%, points back to coaching decisions. Run a svelte Mo as if he’s Larry Csonka and expect the same results, goofy.

On the outside running plays it was even worse. There were several that went negative. Against good defenses, the outside running game isn't going to be open near as often. When we play good defenses we need our running backs to see running lanes and hit the cutback. Besides Washington isn't all that great on the designed outside runs. It's when he bounces an inside run outside is when he's most dangerous.

I think most of us know that Frank Solich would have allowed this kind of behavior. Ever hear of Richie Incognito?

He's 19. He's not been convicted of anything. If Coach Frost suspended him for a half, then it was needed.

The fact that he’s 19 years of age makes discipline essential. It’s apparent that Frost’s current discipline tactics have been ineffective.
The kid is facing felony charges continues to make these mistakes...do you really believe sitting for half a game against a 1-4 team is really going to change his behavior?

I'll trust Frost to the right things for the kid and the team. The clowns on message boards need to do the same. I don't know what the internal issue was. It must not have been too bad or Frost and the unity council would have made him sit more than a half.

Really? What punishment did Washington receive for committing a felony? I will trust Frost to discipline accurately once their is evidence. Since child porn results in no punishment, I can only guess what missing two quarters of a GAME constitutes.

I was 19 way back when. I didn't do the kind of things Washington has done.
Good for you. I didn't do the same kind of things. I did plenty of other stupid things that could have led to jail time. On one of my prison ministry trips I mentioned to one of our band that "you know, the difference between some of these guys and me as a kid is I didn't get caught."

You don't have any proof that he committed a felony. Apparently other than a step mother's testimony neither does the prosecution. Get lost troll.

I’ve been under a rock or something here...

Was he convicted of a felony?
