Fine. I like Mo. Would be an all-timer Tubby player. Not a fit.
Super sub. 6th man candidate. Not a starter. Wish he would stay.
I saw why Bama fans loved Mo D. He's a blue collar player who gives his all. Can't ask for more than that. Good luck to him.

I guess retention is important but I don't really care if anyone outside of Hawthorne (because he hasn't let me down yet) comes back.
He doesn't fit Pope's system but he's has a motor. If Pope used him correctly instead of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, we could of gotten a lot more from Mo D.
I have said through out the entire year, he's a poor man's Dennis Rodman. He gets his points near the rim and at the free throw line. He's a clean up guy around the rim.
If he could have worked on his dribbling and driving the ball, he would have been a great asset.
Again, if you don't have system guys you have to figure out how they best can work when used.
Do you think Dan Hurley would have figured out and leveraged Mo D's strengths? Yes. Why, because he's a good coach.

Imagine a 6ft 10 Mo D. He'd own the offensive and defensive glass.
Good with it. At this point the dominoes have fallen exactly how I wanted. Keep Kam, Collin, and MM and have the rest try their luck elsewhere.
Toward the end, I really started liking him because of his hustle and toughness. But the fact is we need more talent.

Here is what many ky fans don't understand! Mo is not interested in being a bench piece! He wants starter pay and minutes ,as do most of your guys jumping in the portal!

Not knocking you but Mo was limited offensively from 15 feet out and it didn’t help him nor Moreno could pull people from the basket and clogged up the lane.
Agree. He struggled to score down low and didn't have an outside shot. I wish him the best and thank him for his time here but I think it is best for us if he moves on.
I hate to lose his toughness, but in today's game, you have to be able to shoot it at a good percentage from the 4 spot and he just doesn't and never will.
Problem is where’s the new talent?
I sorta hate to see him go but a frontcourt of him and Moreno just doesn't work. I'm glad it happened sooner rather than later. It lets the portal forwards know there's minutes to be had.

there was no way you can run it back with moreno/garrison at the center and jelavic/mo d at PF. hope this means jelavic stays, i like his upside and fits the stretch 4 we need but he needs to actually hit shots. lessen the burden on getting portal guys.
He won't ever be a firm starter here and that's what he wants, so he gone. College is a 4 or 5 or 6 year tour of the country now for most of these guys.

Loved his fight but he brought the wrong kind of energy. Seemed like he would put other players down and cried about everything.
I wish he would have stayed, he gave us hustle and good defense and rebounding. His offense was almost nonexistent except for a few games. I’m sure they made him and offer and he felt like he was worth more and hit the road. That’s why you shouldn’t give interviews telling everyone how much you loved Kentucky growing up or how much it means to be here now. It all a bunch of ****, money is all it’s about now and team pictures might as well not exist because they will be different every year. Senior days now will be one or two players every now and then. Kentucky will have to change with the times, Pope can’t harp on Kentucky being the best tradition and winningest program of all time and expect that to move the needle. Sad, because overall college basketball will lose a lot of fans because of the way things are now. It was good for most of my lifetime though, I can live with or without it, but it doesn’t mean that much to me anymore.

At some point Pope has to figure out a way to keep a guy like this. Maybe he wanted too much money or too big a role.

He’s a pretty good player. Came up with some heroic rebounds in tight games.
Appreciate his effort and toughness. Always questioned his decision making.Wasn’t a fan of the “too small” gesture literally any time he scored.

Pope basically has a fresh slate to work with. His job is likely riding on the portal. Let's see what he can do. There will be plenty of good options entering the portal today and tomorrow.
That goes for other aspects of recruitment as well smartass.
