I like that they are moving it, but, not to Omaha while the Series is going on. IF you have draftable players seems like a distraction for them to me.

The timing of the draft is what needs to be moved.

I mean even if they don’t move the timing at least it’ll be a cool experience for the people in Omaha. It’s a distraction already but makes sense to be there

The Draft will be the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday before the CWS. Which is much better than DURING the Regionals and Supers when games are still being played.

I still remember that Ryan Rolison interview a couple of years ago when Ole Miss was in the middle of an elimination game (they ended up losing) and this guy had to talk about being drafted for several minutes while his team was trying to keep its season alive. Super awkward and cringeworthy.

Agreed, U.S. Olympic Trials for swimming are happening right after the College World Series, now with this finding a hotel room is going to be next to impossible. My son qualified for the Olympic Trials so may need to think about booking something now. ;-)

i just don't get it. MLB are a bunch of 17tards. move it to the day or two days after the CWS. its just stupid to do that to players, coaches, and especially TEAMS.

You're asking them to cut an already short season for their rookies 2 weeks shorter. Over 1,000 players are drafted every year. Maybe 40 of them will still be playing when they hold the draft.

Awesome! We're booked at the Hilton West Omaha for the Trials. Have to drive in, but its all we could find in the Hilton family (Im a points junkie).
