Despite the announcement made at the draft, the Rays have decided to try Brendan both as a pitcher and as a position player. Makes sense.

Baseball is so much different than other sports. McKay actually turned down an offer by the Twins to be the #1 pick.. since McKay is a junior, he had the option of telling the Twins no and he could always go back to college. It wasn't too much of a risk because a lot of other teams wanted him.

Good thing is Riley Thompson who has plus 93 mph is still undrafted as well as Colby Fitch. His late season slump may have affected him being drafted earlier.

I'm really looking forward to watching this young man turn it on in Omaha.It starts and ends with him,offensively and defensively,imo.Get em going LT!!
