MLB draft will be 5 rounds

MLB has decided that this year’s draft will consist of 5 rounds, meaning 150 players. These players will be able to sign comparable to last year’s first 5 rounds. That’s not a lot of players but I definitely see Detmers and Miller getting drafted. Any players not drafted can sign with a team for a maximum $20,000 base salary.

So much uncertainty for these young athletes. So much uncertainty all over the world. I can’t image trying to make big life decisions at this time.

Again, I have to wonder if it doesn't benefit draft eligible upper class men that were trying to move up this season to do the same next season. I'm guessing at 22 years of age or so,they have run the gamut on that.
