We just played Missouri back in 2015. Is there a scheduling quirk that has us playing them so soon? I thought the rotations were every six years with non-permanent rival East teams?

It flops between every 5th and 7th year so that we can alternate playing them away and home. Same deal with Vanderbilt - played at home in 2014, away in 2021 (7 year gap).

Similarly, South Carolina home in 2016, away in 2023. Georgia away in 2017, home in 2022.

No it is sooner between the two so one team is not waiting too long to play at home. The time we play them again will be longer then this past time.

This will be their 8th season in the SEC and their first trip to Starkville

Shows you how bonkers the SEC scheduling model is. We will go 14 years between us playing in Gainesville (2010-2024).

Actually it will be 15, since we have Tennessee at home in 2024 (5 years after playing them on the road in 2019) and @Florida in 2025 (7 years after playing them at home in 2018).

Missouri is the least SEC school out there. I often forget they're even in the conference.

We haven’t played against Vandy in Nashville since Dan’s first year in 2009. Sec scheduling is wack

There is no reason to have divisions in any sport. And it could possibly cost us a spot in the playoffs if there's an upset in the SECCG. I'd rather do away with them now than wait for that to happen.
