The Hawkeyes (18-4, 8-2) hobble home to take on the Gophers (16-6, 7-4) after two brutal loses out West.

Minnesota should be beaming with confidence riding a 4 game win streak. Looking at the stats, these teams are a lot close than I thought. In fact, the Gophers are better defensively, they also beat USC and played UCLA much closer.

The way the hawks are playing lately, I think Minnesota gets the win 70-64.

Hey, it’s only the forth time I’ve picked them to lose this year (Iowa St, UConn, UCLA).

I don’t like the matchup, especially without McCabe.

I hope I’m wrong 😉

Perimeter matchups are tough tonight for Iowa. A fair amount of zone tonight? Need to keep Grocholski from having a big night. A super efficient scorer (also a big recruiting miss for Iowa - from Wisconsin but no Iowa offer).

They also got to play UCLA & USC at home. How do they play on the road versus at home? Iowa definitely plays better at home. You could be right but it’s can be hard to predict results by comparing results from games with common opponents

istream doesn't list the game, so I'm hoping that a link pops up here in a couple of hours.

3 point shooting by Iowa could well be a key aspect in tonight’s game. We seem to play better in all other phases of the game when the outside shots are dropping.

Hope—Hawks push tempo, similar to OSU, get out in transition, let CC and TS and AD have some freedom in the open court..

Fear—JJ continues to play a half-court, force it inside and play into Minnesota’s hands.

Minnesota is going to play crawl ball, limit Iowa possessions. On defense, they will try to force TOs that lead to fast break points. Got to limit the turnovers.

Minnesota impressing me. They may be the best team Iowa has played at home this year. A little surprised Iowa is having so much trouble guarding them.

Feels like IA should be up more. Started off hot and let them get back into it.

Somebody blew a defensive assignment on that last shot.

JJ knows HS and Ava can't challenge because Hayes is struggling in every phase.

Can't give Layla many minutes.
