Watching them against providence now. They have the big post up guys as well as the shooters. They are ranked 14th for good reason. It took them 4 to 5 years to get there and this is the result.

Jordan Murphy is pretty much unstoppable.

they struggled mightily two years ago...lots of close losses but not an easy out at all....talent matters but it still takes time. Pitino has done an excellent job with this group. They are legit title contenders in the Big 10.

He looks unstoppable. I don’t know much about providence but they usually field some very good teams and they were no match for Minnesota. Their defense was also very strong as they don’t let you breathe. I remain very excited and confident that we will get there but I have to admit that after watching Minnesota, I came back down to earth a bit. Again, they are #15 but we are not at that level as far as I can see. It will happen but it will take patience and hard work.

If yesterday is any indication, they'll challenge for the B1G crown. Murphy is unstoppable. Lynch, when not in foul trouble, is a force. Coffey always steps up in a clutch situation. Mason is the perfect PG for this team. Good bench players. They're loaded.

Very impressed with their freshman Isaiah Washington. First time watching him. He's a gamer. Understand that he was Mr. New York Basketball last season, following Kevin Huerter.

Yes. MN is very good, which is one of the reasons our first 5 conference games are a particularly brutal stretch (@ MN, MSU, @ Purdue, WI and @ MSU). I would be surprised if we win any of those games. WI is the only legitimate chance for a W.

8%-14%-5%-21%-4% are the 5 probabilities. basically 50% chance we win 1 of our 1st games.

Watched the Wisconsin - Yale game Sunday early evening and was surprised at how well Wisconsin players worked together on both ends of the floor for an early season game on a team that lost 4 starters. Yale never stood a chance. 10 Wisconsin players scored, 8 players with 6 or more points, 4 players with double digit points. They got everybody involved.

I believe Yale was missing two of their best players. I will not though be surprised if Wisconsin is pretty good. They always seem to be that way.

Wisconsin still runs the system Bo Ryan ran for many years, which Greg Gard has continued. Every year they just plug in the new players and they are always competitive with the top-half of the Big 10.

Huh? Four or five years to get to this result? He went 25-13 in his first year, 24-10 last year, 18-15, and had one bad year.
He's been pretty, pretty, pretty, good all along and now really loaded.

They looked very good last night. Even when the game was close with Providence, you could see they were a lot better than them. Strong veteran starting five and the freshman point guard, Isiah Washington from NY, is the real deal off the bench. As long Little Rocky doesn't implode like daddy, they will be strong for several years.
