Damn. If anyone could fall down, and get back up as quickly as Williams, I would be surprised.

Trying to make a banner for this kid come Friday. No one more deserving of it.

I always admired the senior seasons of former Rutgers players Damon Santiago (95-96) and Eric Clark (97-98) from days of yore. Both of these guys blossomed their senior year. Have my fingers crossed that Mike Williams is the next Damon Santiago or Eric Clark.

Mike may very well be the player we can least afford to lose. Great news that he's ok!

That’s awesome news! Couldn’t be happier for Mike. Looking forward to watching him finish out his career on the Banks!

I was not worried. If it was serious, he would have stayed in the locker room or at the very least been on crutches. Unless there is a NJ-wide crutches shortage.....lol

LFG! Looked way worse than it was i suppose. Good on Mike. WOuld be a shame to see him have to redshirt his sr year.

Agree with Choppin tho, i was a little relieved to see him sit right back on the bench and try and get in a few huddles. Tough kid.

Yup. He let us know before we even asked. Someone later directly asked when he might practice and he said tomorrow or the next day. Seemed totally cavalier about it, too.

Coach said that Mike Williams will be practicing as soon as tomorrow or Wed. Great news indeed and certainly the best news of the night!

Chop, wish you had posted that in the thread and saved some of us some needless fretting, but thanks.

I hesitated because I am in Ohio and I did not know if there was a crutch shortage in NJ....Next time I will get some info on the supply as soon as possible and then post....save you the heartache.

Did he say anything else?I think if you were at the game, you would be surprised that Mike Williams would be ready to play so soon. Did he say what the diagnosis was or anything?

2 of my favorites. Eric Clark's last game was in the BE semi final against UConn. Eric was such a class act that when he was taken out of the game at the end, one of the refs came up to him to shake his hand.
Mike Williams can be that kind of player
