I mentioned earlier in the week that Riley would have a little better athlete than he ever had at OSU. Lets hope they keep momentum rolling and don't overlook anybody.

His teams fought hard at OSU, but the Ducks Nike money, speedy recruits and flashy facilities were too much to compete with. Now at NU.... Winkinglevel playing field. Congrats Coach!!

Nah. He just got extremely lucky. I'm mean how else does a career .500 coach knock off an elite program like Oregon?

We played good enough to win.

As for the Oregon offense, only way to go, after losing Mariota, was down. Hard to maintain the level they were at when he was at the helm.

This makes me laugh... Yesterday you were quoting factoids about Riley and Banker indicating we were gonna lose.

Now that we won, you are saying Oregon isn't that good anymore without Mariota. Is it really that hard to give credit to this coaching staff?

Wow, your trying very hard.

Yesterday I simply posted Riley & Bankers record vs. Oregon in their last 12 games at Oregon St. Are you denying that their record was 3-9 while giving up over 40 points/game? On it's face, 40ppg would seem a bit much. In Bankers defense, Oregon had one of college footballs premier offenses during that span.

I didn't state whether we would win or lose.

I also added that those who bet on games, look at trends, and many more stats that I even care to research. It was not an attempt to "look intelligent" as someone hinted. If you want to make a criticism, you could have pointed out that this was only 1 of many criterion that go into selecting winners & losers. Someone today, even commented that vegas seems to know their stuff. I don't bet, but from where I sit, they do seem to have a crystal ball when it comes to picking point spreads. They did have us favored by 3, iirc. Probably due to home field advantage? And from what I could tell from the TV, the fans were VERY LOUD! Wish I could have been there!

Anyone who loses a Heisman QB is usually going to see a dropoff in offensive production after he's gone(unless your Ohio St. and can recruit 2 or 3 Heisman candidates at the QB position). Are you going to try to argue that this Oregon offense is just as good as when Mariota was QB? Na, I didn't think so. Players change. Coaches change. Oregon is a different team this year! We're a different team this year. Oregon is still considered a very good team and this win should help us with the voters.

And just for the record. We Won a good game today, Tommy made plays when needed, Westerkamp was great, 83 had an OUTSTANDING catch for 6, punter was good, defense was good against a good offense, DPE's return was arguably, the play of the game,
...
and Riley & Banker are still, (and will always be), 3-9 against Oregon in their last 12 games at Oregon St.

They won. How does that effect you stats? Hurts doesn't it? You root for this staff's demise. Sorry we didn't lose just for you.

I'm trying very hard... Ok.

Then tell me, why post something that only shows Riley's record and Banker's defensive stats? That's all the post was. 3-9 and 40 points per game given up.

if you weren't saying we were probably going to lose, what was the purpose of your post? Just admit it... You thought Oregon would win. And when they lost, then it's because they don't have Mariota.

Never be embarrassed to beat a Top 25 team. It was a fun game to watch and a great win. Just don't get Mark Helfrich confused with Chip Kelly. Maybe Mike Bellotti but Helfrich is no Chip Kelly. The Oregonian, Portland's biggest newspaper, is crucifying him for going for all those 2 pointers

The look on Reiley's face when Tommy and Westy converted the 4th and long was priceless. It was a "we got this" look. Shere joy. Fun to watch...

Yup, it's kinda nice to have a calm cool and collected head coach on the sideline. Not screaming at his coaches, refs, players, waterboys, etc. Spitting, slobbering piddling mess. That lunatic's actions used to directly translate to how the players responded. Coach unraveled, team unraveled.

Yea hard to listen to a coach about composure when they are consistently losing theirs.

A trolling we will go. And your spotless resume as a N detractor ? Excuse all my little efforts to help you with pointing out potential flaws - like according to Genesis. But lets talk facts without factors.
