It was a classic battle to the end.

Northumberland had the lead 3-2 with only two minutes left in the game.

The Indians could just not stop the Middlesex speedster striker Marshall on the counter as he went through the entire D and his shot bounced in off a defender and the keeper.

It was his 2nd counter goal of the evening, as he got one in at the beginning too. What a fight to contain him all night. Almost.

Middlesex also got a PK in the 1st and had lead 2-0 at the half.

Northumberland stormed back for the amazing comeback but just could not hold.

Middlesex keeper with 28 saves - definitely Player of the Game as NHS launched 35 shots in a valiant attempt to comeback and advance. Middlesex took 22 shot so it was a wide open battle. Well done.

Middlesex fans were a classy bunch. Both sides cheered at the end for both teams. Refs were outstanding. Superb facilities at Middlesex.
