Michigan State turns down WNIT bid

The program went through alot this season , though I usally think going to the NIT & WNIT helps some players get more experience, maybe it's best to take a break for the MSU program and come back fresh next year.

Wonder if this was more of an administrative-level decision vs team consensus.
I understand the adversity but would think players would want to continue their season since given that chance.

If they had been given an NCAA bid, would they have declined due to adversity?

Hope Merchant is doing better.

Merchant is a strange bird. She has had "medical issues" forever. Remember one game @RAC where she appeared to pass out while kneeling on the sideline. CVS quickly came to help her, and EMT'S helped her off the court. That was many years ago, and the RAC got deathly silent.
We turned down the NIT bid some years ago after being snubbed by NCAA committee as well, sigh.
