Has scored 17, 15, 16, and 16 points vs Alabama State, Mizzou, Texas Southern, and Arizona. Does he still suck? Congrats to him. Things that make you go hmmm.

You remember it differently than I do. He had his moments, but I don’t ever recall him getting a ton of criticism

He's in a good situation at Iowa State, because he's really the only interior player at ISU who isn't injured or suspended. So they have him playing a lot of minutes and sticking to the things he was good at while at NU - setting screens, rarely wandering more than a foot or two out of the lane, and working hard on the offensive and defensive glass. Like we were discussing a few days ago, Jacobson would have benefited a lot from playing with Palmer and Copeland because he could have played a role similar to the one he has now, instead of looking to score.

Jacobsen would've been a nice complimentary part on this current team. The kid wasn't able to see the forest through the trees.

To be fair though, Husker basketball was a dumpster fire when he left. A change of scenery likely helped his State of mind.

Sure, congrats to him. And congrats to us. Probably a transfer that worked out for both sides. He definitely does not suck, but he also probably had no interest in filling the role that would have been available to him in our program.

Jacobson is a good complimentary player. Which spot would he take here? He doesn’t want the 5 and that’d pretty much be his role here still if you move everyone else up 1 position.

Best for him I think to be there.
Morrow didn’t help himself, on the other hand.

I'm not saying Jacobson should have stayed - only that if he had, he would have pretty much the same role at NU that he now has at Iowa State. I think both he and Morrow saw themselves competing for playing time with Palmer and Copeland, when in fact that wouldn't have been the case at all.

But today players move around in college basketball for any number of reasons. Jacobson found a nice fit, so good for him.

The problem for those guys is that both of them wanted to play out on the wing more as a flex 4 or 3 and neither one of them had game to be perimeter players. Their role would have been guarding bigs much of the time and they weren't happy about doing that for NU. Roby on the other hand just does what we need and is pretty darned good at it. Jacobsen would have been a really nice piece for us.
