Pitt up 3 nothing and driving with 2:00 left in the first.

Typical Pitt crowd, thousands of fans dressed in yellow plastic.

Freshman Ken Pickett , Ocean HS, starting for Pitt. If I'm remembering correctly (doubtful, lol) Pickett was a early 2 star commit to Pitt, and was bumped up to a 3 star late, probably when Rivals or Scout did their last eval. Now starting, probably an injured QB ahead of him.
Jon Lewis and Tommy DeVtio ranked ahead of him for NJ QBs in the class. Now look who is starting, lol.
I know, all situations different. Looks good so far.

edit- saw this story which adds a bit more info:

49, 500 was The announced figure at the game. Remember Heinz Field holds 70,000. Which is the problem Pitt needs to address. They get fans, just nowhere close to 70,000.

I’m rooting for Miami in this one. I don’t want to hear the absurd overreaction on this board about the 2* Pitt qb we missed out on from the Ash haters.
Yep, out of context means nothing...look what Savage did on Pitt..we are the grave yard of QB prospects...but next year hope rises again.

Reminds me of when Pitt knocked W Va out of the BCS title game a few years ago. Miami can still win the ACC but probably won't beat Climpson in the title game.

Even the MIami HC looks to be resigned to what is happening. Miami's D looks gassed.

10 years ago. Almost to the day. I remember watching that game, it was great. One of the last of the Backyard Brawls, as I recall.

Rosier had a pure garbage game today. Was even pulled out the game in their last drive, which still went 3 and out. Just wasn't their day.

That is certainly one of the benefits of Miami coming back but I can't root for them. It's looking more and more like we'll have to put up with the ridiculous overreaction by a segment of this board. But hey, if we can pull the upset tomorrow we'd have the same record as Pitt, whose previous wins came against Youngstown St, Rice, Duke and Virginia.

Syracuse beat Clemson
Pitt is beating Miami very late

ACC very strange.
Winner Miami vs Clemson next week goes to the top 4?
Opens a sliver of help
for Wisconsin to get in if they win out.

PIckett! When are we going to have a freshman quarterback make that play for us? Hell, when are we going to have a senior quarterback make that kind of play for us?

If they were an SEC team, theyd still got a chance for a playoff if they get a blowout win in their CCG (just like Auburn or UGa now have). But they're an ACC team so they're going to drop to 11th or something like that.
