Makes sense for equal wagering on both sides of the line, but as bettors look at us and our road record, I’d expect the number to move to 8.5 or even 9 by tip-off.

It seems a sense of reality set in on Saturday after the loss. Too many got caught up in the hype. We don’t shoot well enough

There has been a downward slide in performance starting with the win against Nebraska .Opponents have watched the video tapes and made adjustments in playing Rutgers.Yes, the overriding problem is the lack of consistent scoring by players.

Before one of our games the opposing coach commented that we go after every shot like it was going to be a miss. In that game the announcers commented that not only do at go on the floor for every 50-50 ball, but we run through them.

It hasn't looked quite the same since.

We have played good games but not been as suffocating or Intense throughout the games. Is it is it opponents catching up to us, I'm not sure. But it is Pike's move on the chess board of the season.

Brace yourselves for total board meltdown, casual fan/media degradation and etc.

The Michigan loss stings because it was winnable. We were never going to win this game. The good news is that, once we weather all the nonsense and negativity that will follow tonight, we still have many more good games and a successful season/Tourney bid hopefully ahead of us.

Just try to keep the score respectable.

We couldn't buy a basket vs Michigan.

Can we turn it on tonight and get hot? The answer is yes.

With a stable defense, all you need is a hot shooting night and any game can be a W.

I personally think this is a pretty solid line.

Line seems fine. Weird that people are expecting us to get blown out. I don't expect to win but it is certainly possible and the game should be competitive.
Yea, pretty much this. Our defense should keep us in every game and has this year especially since we started clicking

Maryland has been hot and cold, the problem is the last 4 games or so they are looking better and better and in our last 4 games we seemed to be dropping off a little. I think our peak stretch was Penn State through Minnesota. But basketball is a funny game. I am expecting a 10-12 point loss because I think we are due for a bit of a clunker given how hard and competitive we have played of late. However it would not shock me if RU won this game either. We are capable of stepping up but can we reverse for this game or will it come later in as we head back to the RAC

Due for a clunker? We had one last game. We took 83 shots and lost. 32% from the field 25% from 3. That's a clunker.

Actually, if we are talking what teams are due for it's the opposite. We are due for a good shooting offensive performance and they are due for a clunker after being hot as of late. If it's a "due" game that favors us

we have struggled offensively in alot of games this year...Purdue, Nebby, Illinois, we might put up good numbers at times, but we tend to disappear after hitting a lot of shots. We are not a good shooting team..ever Yes I think we are due for a real clunker where we lose convincingy, every school has one, it might come tonight, it might come at Ohio State.

I thought the spread would be higher too. MSU is giving 8.5 pts. at home to No. 20/22 PSU tonight. MD is a really tough place to play. They don;t lose there.

No, Chris Ash. Just no. We are going there with the intent of getting a W. Stop with the loser talk. No one on the staff and none of the players are going there to just "keep it close"

Good. I'm not a member of the staff or a player. Nor do my words matter or get their attention. I expect a loss and hope we keep it respectable. Eating crow is no problem if I'm wrong. I just don't see it.

St. Bonnie's was a clunker. Michigan was not a clunker.

I do like the fact that this probably a bus ride away and our guys should sleep in their own beds last night..

Dixon and Blake are tough, but what really concerns me is the quantity of bigs they have. How is Myles and Shaq going to contain Holden, Baxter and Wilcox?

C'mon guys this team is no better that the others we have faced so far this year.

Len Bias is a handful, and then they can bring in Len Elmore too. Too many Lens for Myles.

Got to agree with scangg here , that Michigan game was a clunker. I was happy to be down by 3 at half. Then there was a big stretch in the second half where we did not have a field goal.

The thing is, it will be hard for us to lose a game by a ton of points which is why we really haven't all year. The combination of strong defense with a deep team that doesnt rely on one or a couple go to scorers is less likely to be blown out of games. Teams that rely so heavily on so few can have complete clunkers when those players don't show up any given night.

Last game we went on a longggggg drought without a FG. Only shot a hand full of FTs. Had Geo and Harper shoot a disgusting percentage and play overall poorly. Team shot bad from 2 and 3.

If you were to say all that happened in the same game, most would assume we got blown out, but we didn't. We almost won and we really couldn't have played much worse offensively
