I just thought someone that had someone close die of cancer wouldn't refer to cancer as a negative characteristic of a person. "Cancer boy"? Really? Once someone crosses a loyalist, I guess all respect gets thrown out. That's fine, but have some fvcking maturity

Cancer isn't something only weak people get, and it's a serious threat that we should be focused on trying to end.
Where in the hell did I say that only weak people get it? Moreover, I have immense respect for McCain and have lost close family and very close friends to it, you don't own a monopoly on sorrow which is the way you are coming across. I have a completely different outlook on life and apparently death than you do.
Considering your love of the environment, why on earth would you want a cure for cancer? It's the only real check we have keeping the population under control. I don't think it's meant to be cured and I'm ok with that.

1) who is reaching for an opportunity to be offended now? Some d-bag referred to McCain as "cancer boy", as if having cancer is some type of negative trait of a person (like their weakness allowed them to get it or something). You of course came to his defense, as if I was wrong to ask for maturity about the issue. I explained. You join team d-bag.
2) I don't think I've read anything this ridiculously foolish in your posts, but curing disease and fighting bacteria and viruses is a part of what we do as a civilization. We advance. As we advance, we develop ways to address all issues that threaten are existence and slow our advancement. My spiritual belief system allows for a rejuvenation of spirit, so the sadness of loss exists only in my personal loss of a relationship (imo). However, that doesn't mean I think mankind shouldn't continue to strive to eradicate threats.
3) not one ounce of my posts were about sorrow (or my monopoly on it).....that's just the rightwing desire to see all liberals the same and destroy them through your perceived superiority of logic and genuineness. The post was an obvious dig at McCain. And the title of "cancer boy" meant to show that cancer somehow shows McCain's weakness or some other negative. I felt it was disrespectful and immature.
But, as always, conservatives think they know how everyone should see something, think about something, and feel. Often times, you guys are exactly what you whine about so often.

The man had a tumor removed. Maybe you don't have a background in medicine like me, but I'm pretty sure a growing tumor in your brain is a problem.
