McConnell was a lock on the foul line jumper early in his career. He's given up those points and traded for wasted possessions and missed 3s. Totally on coaching. With the passion he plays with, if he gets back to defense rebounding and playing offense off his teammates he can be a great and a really consistent college player. He's not an ISO guy. It seems like Pike is afraid to hurt his feelings.

I think you can make a case for some of those “shots” being misguided passes or even UFOs.

To his credit McConnell looked to pass first half, but then he figured everyone else is hoisting up bricks might as well get his.

All American candidate missed 52 of 59 threes last year. 4 for 14 against Lafayette and you guys are ragging on Caleb?

The shooting percentages for this ream are abysmal. If one player had a pulse on offense,Rutgers would have won the game. Fans have to wonder what is going on in practices because there is a clear lack of execution on offense and defense. On three different plays Rutgers fouled a Lafayette player when he was shooting a 3 point show which resulted in 9 foul shots. Those players should have been immediately taken out of the game.On offense there was no go scorer in the last five minutes of the game which allowed Lafayette to maintain the lead until Harper made a 3 pointer to take the lead with less than 30 seconds remaining. The final blow was Rutgers allowing Lafayette to get off a 3 pointer to win the game.Bottom line two straight losses against inferior opponents and the schedule will get far more difficult in coming weeks.
