Football season, with a soft league schedule we will never see again, ends up in true RU style with an epic loss at the bowl game.
Womens BB 5* player gets benched while the team looks like crap.
Mens BB team gets the highest 2 players ever and cannot get out of its own way.

Hard to understand.

When is the last time you heard of a teams best player missing multiple games 4 days apart with the flu.
The body of a strong 18 year old is incredible.
Only at Rutgers
There is a really bad flu going around the Met area. My sister has had it for 2 weeks. Age irrelevant when it comes to infections

Not the question… when was the last time you heard of a college kid missing multiple games with a bug?….not including Covid protocols

Your age and vibrant health also has something to do with why you don’t get ill, even if exposed.

Are you suggesting that whatever protocol was taken by the athlete and medical staff was wrong and/or not followed?

My wife is convinced Henry Rutgers sold his soul to make it through the Revolutionary War...and the university was built over a Native American burial ground...

It's the only explanation since the RU Screw extends beyond athletics. And us NJ natives who didn't attend RU and live out of state are so drawn to it lol...

Go into the light

Do you read threads?
Absolutely not, I’m suggesting he got the best of care.
Yes. I read your comments and interpreted that most athletes at his age are not on the shelf for almost a week with flu-like status.
I heard he lost 9 pounds. That’s hard to fathom with trainers and dietitians and doctors that Div-1 athletes have supporting them.

There’s no doubt in my mind this is true.

Hence the “Only Us” curse Twister.
At this point what else could it be?

The curse is being bad at the portal. Losing Spencer last year and Cliff this year with little to replace them. Not bringing in a 4/5 in the portal who can rebound and defend at this level. Bringing in 4 players in the portal and at best only two of them can play at the B1G level. It’s hard to win like that especially when your best player has been out the past two games.

Flu? If he had the flu, why is he sitting on the bench for both games risking his teammates health?
I thought the same thing the first game. He should at least have a mask on to not spread anything to his teammates.

I understand the confusion due to COVID, but that’s not how masks work.

If it is the flu, perhaps he got it in Paterson NJ when the Harper’s did their laudable local charitable event. I tip my hat to them.

Yeah but a bad case of the flu can knock anyone the fv*k out. It don’t discriminate.

Geo Baker was out with the flu for the Purdue upset in 2021 and came back off the bench the following game with 11 points on 4-11/1-6 shooting in a loss to Seton Hall. I remember them saying flu had gone through the team at that point, but I think Baker was the only one who missed a game with it.

I remember that, and I remember he looked like crap during that game.
