Painter continues to recruit centers and guards that can score.Defense is easier to learn because its more effort than talent.This isn't one of Painter's best Purdue teams and could only win game in the NCAA Tournament.

Painter is one of the best coaches in the country. That explaination there was high level stuff that you know would make freshman heads confused. He is brilliant

Depending on who his audience was it wasn’t even an explanation. If his audience was other coaches, then yes, if it was the media or fans then no one knew what he was talking about. He’s a great coach but this isn’t rocket science and you don’t have to explain it like it is.

But the fact that his preparation is that detailed and he is able to communicate that to your team is his genius as a coach and why he is one of the best

How’s he faring with roster management? Has he had success retaining players and staff? Has Purdue had success with incoming portal transfers?

I think you under selling the complexity. Many coaches don’t go to that degree of counters because it’s too hard for players to understand. I believe Pike had that issue this year. The defense was way less complex and way less effective.
