Can we officially close the book on 6-5 guy with his supposed best roster he has had at Iowa State this year?

He has certainly earned well over a million miles of adoration for a win over a top 5 ranked Oklahoma back in 2017. He is .500 in conference play in a watered down Big 12 outside of the Covid'20 dream season in which they still didn't win a conference championship.

11 seasons as a head coach in college football, and 0 conference championships. Didn't even win one at Toledo in the MAC.

Fleck, Frost, Brohm, Tucker, or Campbell to win a conference title first? I'd put Harbaugh on that list if he had already been eliminated, but since he still has a shot this year I had to exclude him from the race.

Matt is a genius because he took over a P5 school with zero expectations and then he met those expectations.

If I am his agent I contact the school and let them know he wants to sign a 20 year extension.

He's not my first choice, but he would be a huge upgrade over Frost.

Harbaugh could win the B1G this year. Michigan has the most complete team in the country. They could very well beat OSU by 7 to 10 points.

Agree.

I think Michigan has a very good chance to beat Ohio State next week. They are a well balanced team that can exploit Ohio State's weaknesses in running the football, and the ability to defend the pass. Should be a great game.

As I am not a fan of either I will go by your word. As an outsider I will stay with Vegas. Harbaugh had the better team in '18 , but choked. Michigan can't let it become a track meet. You have to force turnovers, and hope Stroud doesn't have time. Basically play the perfect game because Ohio State has the elite talent edge on both sides, and Harbaugh has been owned by Ryan Day.

Dude, don't do this to yourself.
I understand his optimism. They were ready to fire Harbaugh at the end of this year if it went badly. They are back at pre '19 levels. Ohio State fans have said they want Harbaugh to stay at Michigan, but perhaps this is the year for his first ever division crown. I don't get why the game is in Michigan this year though. This is back to back home games for them in this series. Last year Michigan pulled out, but weren't punished with a loss.

This same thing happened with LSU, and Florida a few years ago. The SEC rectified it by giving Florida back to back home games due to a hurricane forcing Florida to play LSU on the road in what was meant to be a home game.

Yes, Campbell is light years better than Frost. He's already proven he can build a team up into a consistent bowl game appearances, and pull off an upset now and then. He's proven that he can recruit and develop talent well enough to sustain his program over the long haul. He does this in a state where he struggles to pull in the top recruits because Iowa is normally the big boy. He doesn't have that problem as much in Nebraska, although he still will be recruiting a state that's fairly devoid of high level talent. But he's used to that part and has been successful. Just an outsider's opinion, take it for what it's worth.

You have to find some positives in watching a program you love go from being one of the greatest to one of the poorest. One of those positives is the entertainment value of a post like this.

He lost 4 one score games on the road in conference. Expectations were higher but no one is going to get bent out of shape about it.

Campbell has a top 20 recruiting class this year so the trend has been better and should stay there.

Ohio state will destroy Michigan. It will be like 2018 and 2019.
