I know this comes up under our All State Thread but it is so huge I think it deserves its own thread. It is all posted on the NJ.com site. I suppose it will be in the newspaper within the next few days. Congratulations to Matt and thanks for picking RU.

This is the type of player that we haven't seen on the Banks in quite some time. We need to improve our on the court hoops IQ and we need more scrappers. I think this guy is going to fit in extremely well.

Back in the 70's RU would get one or two first team players occasionally...... After the formation of the big east it happened less and less....... It is nice to see it happen again and hopefully our new coach keeps it going.

Very cool for him as well as RU! Nice to see.

Dont want to hijack thread but I want to puke when I hear about the Miracle of St. Anthonys. Why is a high school student from Morganville commuting to St. Anthonys? How is that remotely fair? Everything wrong with high school sports in New Jersey.

Its a parochial school that can attract students anywhere in the state.Savon Huggins lives in the Jackson area of NJ and he went to St.Peters Prep in Jersey City.

A few years back St. Patrick had a kid from Camden on their team. It has become one big joke.

And again this is fair how? Wonder why public high schools get upset? Miracle of St. Anthonys? How about Destruction by St. Anthonys.

Yes and Sam Dalembert from Montreal I believe. One difference is Lamizana and Dalembert were living near St. Pat's but the other kid supposedly took the train back & forth from Camden on many days.

It's private school you could send your kids anywhere if you wanted.

I had a non-athlete friend from jersey who went to a Catholic HS in the city close to where her father worked.
