How many of you have been watching the daily videos on IG, Twitter and FB the last few weeks? And I know, they’re highlights....but wow! Bagley is really good. He’s going to have a Jabari-type impact on this team (with hopefully a little better defense).

I know I can probably find this out somewhere, but how good of a FT shooter is he? He’s going to have a chance to live at the line this season.

They do refer to Bagley as a once in a generation type talent, and I believe every bit of it. Can’t wait to see him play!

Thanks. And yes, we’ll need him to be a little better than that. Ideally that’s closer to 75%.
I think if he shoots 70% he will average 18-20 a game. I think Grayson will average similar. They will be the one two punch that Brandon and Grayson were with a better and deeper supporting cast.

Weapons Timo, we have many weapons. I think we're gonna have fun this season.

So a first round tourney loss? :)

Bagely is a beast. He would start for the majority of NBA teams next year. There is not a great comparison for him. Parker was no where near the athete Bagely is. Grant Hill is only guy I can think of that has anywhere near the athleticism combined with agility and coordination that Bagely has coming into Duke but no where as good.

Bagely has no business playing college basketball. He would went number 1 overall in this draft.

He is crazy aware of the basket when going up for rebounds and oops. He's like a great guard but in a center's body. Garnett-like. He and Carter will make up for a bad shooting night.

If Grayson can be sophomore Grayson and Marvin is what we’re being told, then the optimism for this season is the real deal. Of course, I’m going to be optimistic, regardless.

Everyone should know by now it is a crap shoot. Remember when you were 18-22? Maybe got punched in the face? Not in front of 20,000 fans of course. But I know I am 33 and still have a lot to learn. What Coach K has done is unprecident to all past and present coaches.

Funny that back in August some people were skeptical about even adding Marvin. I know they are just highlight practice videos, but he makes it looks so easy, and it's against other Duke guys.

I'm hoping for an Anthony Davis type impact from Marvin, where even if he doesn't have the most points in a given night, he's still the best player on the floor.

And yes, the difference between him being a 65% and 75% FT shooter will be huge, because he's gonna live there.

I'm just waiting for you to add something of value, in all seriousness.
The boards have changed for the worse. This used to be a good place for some friendly banter but somewhere along the way, it stopped. I suppose the Scandal was the tipping point.

FWIW, I don’t even post on THR.

Maybe it was the way that the season ended, but my recollection of Parker was a good player, but not terribly efficient. I think points will come easier for MB.

Ticket, you've been away to long. A lot of posters here don't know or remember you. We've had a lot of dick Heel posters since then so they are on the Defense much stronger when a Heel poster is identified.

It certainly was for me.

Trust me, if the situations were reversed, you'd be permanently disgusted by it.

Nah, I'm pretty jaded to sports in general. Have been for some time. I've seen too much behind the scenes at the college and pro level to get super excited/angry over anything. But I understand why many still do.

Things got so ugly (not just here) that I kind of just quit posting more than the occasional thought. Hell, most of the premium members at UNC don't remember. I wandered over to the OOTB board and recognized 3-4 guys.

I do think putting this scandal to bed is a good thing for both programs. Everyone can move on, just might take longer for some.

It's simply about the money - UNC taking a big fall would cost too much to Nike/NCAA/etc. Money talks.
