It'll be a game-time decision. Probably had an MCL sprain so he is nearing the end of the time period before he returns to the field. No reason he isn't the starter for Purdue.

McCaffrey would make other players look slow. Even on that one QB keeper he did you could see he moved faster than others and he ran hard on that play.

If he does start, we will be fine. I suspect this is a Rahmir Johnson game. Frost will push hard to get to bowl eligibility, IMO.

Oh yeah, that kid in the spring game reminded me of TMart leaving everybody in the dust. That guy can MOVE. That's for damn sure.

So weird, AMart not quite that quick as those two mentioned but still "very" fast last year. Except the 2nd half of the Illinois game this year his acceleration just isn't there anymore. I don't get it. It must be some kind of injury I would guess? But then again, he was flying in that Illinois 2nd half game. I don't know.....

Do we think AM will play? The coaches keep saying they are Hopeful? What is your opinion? Will he play or not?

It's been a strange season so far! Honestly I'm just looking forward to seeing the guys back on the field regardless of who's out there for us.

Please don't compare his speed to TMart. That is too much pressure for anyone. I'm serious. TMart was TecmoBowl fast.

all vedral did against minn was take off running

we scored 7 points

But, but, the offense was so much more efficient!

I'm a fan of McCaffrey, so if he starts I'm going to be sure to bang on my keyboard about how much better the team looks every time NU scratches out a first down.

A true freshman QB behind this Oline could be really bad.
This kids old man was a stud WR for the Broncos, his Brother is the best RB in the league. His maternal grandfather was an olympic sprinter. His mom was a standout college soccer star. His other older brother would be the starting QB at Michigan if Harbaugh didnt abandon his offense. The kids got the pedigree to be big time

Agreed. Really poor coaching decision.
I think the staff has already conceded the error. It really wasn't a decision, but the default position based upon the depth chart. Should have changed in game, but I don't think they were prepared to have #1 go out and #2 have his helmet come off shortly thereafter.

the ability to accept and even prefer delayed gratification is a common personality trait of the uber-successful

the need for immediate stimulus is a trait commonly shared by prisoners and toddlers

It was a decision, and a bad one they pretty much admitted. It was a bad decision based on poor contingency planning. Every position should have a dept chart decision tree that includes single-play or very short-term needs. Even more important when you are trying to preserve redshirts.

Hope he's (Adrian) able to play as I think he gives Nebraska the best chance to win. I'm hopeful they can keep the redshirt on McCaffrey and if he's the best guy come spring time, let's go.

McCaffrey blowing one of his 4 games on one snap is probably a survivable error. However, we may need to use every one of the 4 games to become bowl eligible.
