Half of their team entered the portal since Huff left but I don't think they could have handled Army even at full strength.

I read where they were down to like 40 some players, and only a few coaches. Probably the right call, and hopefully it will shed a spotlight on how lame most of these bowl games have become. Nobody, other than the playoff teams will show up to play with a full roster. I'm guessing WV took that early bowl game just to get done with things as quickly as possible. I look at an awful Michigan team, who will play the bowl game with maybe eight or nine starters not playing. Who wants to watch that? But, ESPN feels it's a big game having Alabama vs Michigan, despite it being a battle of the 2nd and 3rd teamers. That's what Ohio State did last year against Missouri.

But, it's just one football game, so why not suit up and take the field. Play sandlot football style and make up the plays as you go. Every guy on the team likely played both ways in high school, so just put them on a bus and go play.

extra practices...that's the only reason I think WV should play...try to get better
