Maroon Outs potential optic problem?

Watching Matt Wyatt’s breakdown of the game, an observation I’ve never considered is the maroon out especially in the North end zone, might take the receivers longer to pick up the ball in the air? If so it could work against both teams, but could have been a small factor in Roberson not adjusting to a ball that could have been caught if seen earlier.
