Take a picture with recruit Mason Williams one day and gone the next. LOL!
Well I guess maybe it answers if Pope has a spine. Brooks being reported as out on X.
As much as some of us want this to mean something, better wait and see who we end up with as a replacement.
Is Pope still here? If so, then our problem is still here regardless of if the whole coaching staff leaves. If they don't take him with them Mr. 63% career winning percentage will be here continuing his winning ways...
I won’t fully disagree with you here but a good staff with recruiters and good scouts could cure some of our serious ailments from this past year.
Pope wanted a deep team. He didn't have the staff to develop such a team. Maybe that changes.
What decent, high achieving person who wants to advance their career would come play for this coach? Video coordinator of a g-league team is now effectively our GM.

This is a positive. Pope’s loyalty cost us. Fox was supposed to be the GM and did not get it done. I’m sure he’s a good dude and they can find a stool at Wheelers for him.

All those assistants made $2.8 m / year.
Have they developed players? No!
have they evaluated correctly players? No!
Were they able to close any great recruits? No!
have they provide on consistent basis with good game scouting as assigned? No!
were they able to count above 5 , so UK didnt play with 6 players at the same time and embarrass Pope? NO!
so why to keep them? I actually agree with Pope decision to let them all go. They shouldn’t have been here in the first place so maybe this is a good sign that Pope is learning and actually starting to make the right calls.

He's trying to save his own a** and this way he can blame the staff. At least for now, FWIW none of the staff was Kentucky standard. They should've all been fired for lack of player development if nothing else.
If he’s hiring friends like he did with Keegan Brown as his “totally not the GM, I promise”, then it hardly matters, he’s still letting loyalty get in the way of getting the right guys for the job.

At least it's clear to Pope that he knows he's going to be coaching for his UK life next season. It's all on him now and nobody else around to blame.
I know a buddy from BYU to top it all off... He might be blowing this coaching staff up, but he still made another buddy hire for this upcoming year....

Did he can them or did they leave on their own accord? I find it odd the whole staff outside Fueger is gone at once.
You got me imaging what his tiny *** little house looks like. Like, is it in a tree or does he live under a mushroom like a Smurf?
Is there anybody short of Pitino (joking but you get the point) that he could hire that would make you go, “hmmm…” ?

No it';s not. The development of this team sucked, and that's not just on Pope. That's what staff is for.
Yeah, getting paid is a bitxh. And, no one hires coaches off fired staffs. Great point.
