I knew it was going to happen soon. Manafort's close ties with Russians and the ousted Ukrainian leader were killing the legitimacy of Trumps campaign, especially in the light of the Russian attempts to influence the US presidential elections through covert means.
With the coming stationing of Russian troops in Iran being announced two days ago, Manafort went from being a liability to a potential disaster in waiting for the party as a whole. People in downticket Congressional races were planning on pounding Obama and the Democrats on Iran to in their campaigns. When the manager of your party's Presidential Candidate is Putin's man in Washington, he's got to go. You can't effectively bash the Democrats on Iran when Trump's manager is in bed with their biggest ally.
Trump was a fool for hiring the man in the first place. Doesn't he look into the background of who he's working with?
Is there any word on who the replacement is going to be? It's awfully late in the process to vet and hire a quality campaign manager. The good ones are busy with other candidates and campaigns.
It's ironic, I thought in the middle of this week that Trump was finally getting the hang of things, staying on point and not doing any wild ad libbing about whatever popped into his head. Now this. Maybe the fella should have stayed in Palm Beach?
