Too much to ask now to win one game, after writing off any semblance of league championship, NCAA or even NIT appearance aspirations ages ago.

Rutgers is playing in the B1G but only has MAC level talent. The embarrassing losing streak will continue until next season.Hopefully, the schedule will have a easy out of conference opponent to start next season.

if this team tried to mail anything they'd short the required postage and put the stamp in the wrong spot in spite if the "idiot box" top right corner..

I wouldn't say they mailed it in. Compared to many other games, I really can't fault RU's effort tonight. They kept fighting, got no help from the zebras and made this one close down the stretch. It was good to see Williams get a couple of 3s to go down towards the end. The press was very effective. I'm wish Eddie would have tried it sooner.

The press was effective with 3 guards (Mack, Williams & Daniels) but they are our only 3 scholarship guards. We can't play that way most of the time as we have no guards left on the bench. Next year hopefully we can have a couple more guards and maybe we can press a little more often. That is why we need 13 scholarship players next year. depth means a lot.

This is exactly true. Our depth is terrible in the backcourt. This is one of the reasons why this team is a broken team, and its a wonder how we even won as many games as we did. Here are some others:

Trust me I love Williams' effort and I hope he finds his way next year, but he absolutely killed us in the first half. He missed some shots by more than a foot. We have three more guards coming next year. He has to find his way or he unfortunately will end up at the end of the bench.

Daniels cannot be a 30 min/g player. He has some great spurts but turns the ball over too much to be an every minute player. Once again this will happen because we add three guards next year.

Once again you saw some nuggets of hope with both Shaq and Foreman but their inexperience really showed today. Defense starts before the ball is in front of you. You cannot let the guy establish himself in the low post without a fight they will kill you like they did today. This is exactly the mistakes freshmen make.

I am beginning to believe that we desperately need Deshawn Freeman if we are to be successful next year. We need a plan B if the Etou of next year is the same Etou of this year.

Jack made max 2 or 3 plays that reminded me that he was even on the court today. Don't know what happened but he is not the player we thought he was going to be.

This was the best game they have played during the losing streak. Turnovers, missed free throws did them in.

Hate to call kids out, but Williams need to check his head. The end of the game was horrible. He was clearly told in the huddle not trap if given the opportunity, don't foul. He comes out and fouls in the trap. Just a really low IQ play and indicative of what it takes to lose this many games. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of those across board to have these results.

Glad to hear the announcers discussing the facilities and our need for them. Hopefully this starts putting pressure on the leadership.

I want to come back and comment that I was really happy with that last 5-6 mins though. They didn't give up, played hard and gave Purdue fans a bit of a concern there. Of course between mental mistakes and some questionable /missed calls just enough to snuff it out. BUT, they had my attention till the end. Best effort in a while (minutes, not game)

For the most part the team has played better on the road than at home but still lost games. The team really got Purdue's attention in the last five minutes with a scoring run that has been missing at crunch time in most previous games.Good effort but the same losing result.

Hopefully, fans will show up for the Maryland game to say good bye to Mack,Jack and Kone. They stayed loyal and for that alone fans should show their appreciation.

It's tough watching their games this year. I don't know if their lack of effort at times is due to exhaustion from playing so many minutes or just "mailing it in". I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and blame it on exhaustion. With that said , my comments on the guard play. Mack is great--consistent effort despite playing out of position at point . Daniels is a best a reserve guard off the bench and shouldn't start.. He needs to work on his handle and is often errant passes. Now that teams have taken away his often out-of-control drives to the basket he's left to shoot from outside . Unfortunately he has no outside shot but I do like his hustle and energy. Williams has potential and I like his effort and energy. Unfortunately all the pre-season hype about his shooting is just that --hype. Notwithstanding last night, he has not shown any consistent ability to hit from outside. Net net --this team is really bad........

Mack went a pathetic 3-13 and .......Etou went 1-5( he needs to shoot more IMO...but only IF he starts hitting)
that didnt help at all
If either one had a reasonable scoring percentage we would have been in the game

Had a test so i missed the game. Foreman 5-5 from the free throw line. I agree Daniels is probably more of a 6th man. Needs to find a pass instead of dribbling.

Williams will be better next year. His dad will be on his case it seems.

Really happy with Foremans offensive development. Now Williams has to get on him about his defensive effort.

Good for Jack cracking 1000.

Not really - was speaking about the season in general (and ultimately winning games). Losing by 7 really doesn't salve much for me at 10-19 (2-14 in league).

Foreman has made 10 of his last 11 foul shot attempts. I always felt he had good form but now getting more minutes I think has made a difference in his free throws. I think DJ has a good future before him. I really pull for him. He seems to have a high motor all of the time. He should get a lot more minutes next season.
