Mag at the 5

We’re going to be seeing more of this I think, as long a Mag is not in foul trouble.
Can’t press, but his minutes today with Hyatt out their with him and Cliff on the bench were impressive.

Mag is a defensive treasure. And if he keeps burying big-time 3s, he will climb my all-time beloved list quickly.

If not regularly, seems like almost a guarantee for the PSU games. They play more than half of games with 5 guard line ups. Nobody averaging 15+ minutes on their roster is bigger than 6-6.

I think they were good options vs. Key at 6’8” with Cliff on the bench. The announcer made specific mention of Hyatt having the body frame/strength to defend Key which I agree with. I thing Hyatt’s lower base is a bit stronger than Mag. Of course, Mag with his lateral quickness is an elite defender who can guard multiple positions.

Agree. But alot depends on Wolf and Reiber...I personally would give Reiber little more run with Cliff. He has a good stroke and is more of a stretch 4

Mag at the 5 is an exciting lineup and different look. If Dean and Wolf continue to struggle, this could be the answer more frequently against teams without massive 5's
