My Picks....

NB 35 Enka 14...NB got a wake up call last Friday after a really strong start. They will get their 5th win this week which is a great accomplishment for the program.

Erwin 48 WH 21...West was a team that I thought could surprise this year but that has not been the case. Other than the letdown vs ACR, Erwin has looked strong all season. They Finally get a team with a losing record as well.

Reynolds 42 Tuscola 14...No offense to Tuscola but they have not played anyone as remotely close to as good as ACR. This game looks good on paper but will not be very close.

Asheville 55 NH 0...Asheville will take their frustrations out on another hapless opponent this week.

North Buncombe will win easy
Erwin will win even more easily
Asheville will win the easiest
AC Reynolds will win, but dang we have to get better in the red zone! 9 trips inside the 20 last week and only 4 TD's scored. I don't think we were focused on NH last week, hopefully being back at home and having a good team coming in will refocus the team.

Erwin did the same thing vs NB. We left 3-4 td's in the redzone.

Is it bad to say the most exciting game to watch this week is the Enka/ NB game? What a terrible week of football in WNC.

We're here but we know what we are..an average team. Our defense is good, much better than I expected and they'll get better by the end of the season, and I think pisgah fans can attest to that. Offense struggles to score against above average teams and QB isn't great, our run game isn't bad, the backs are quick and can break it loose at times. If tuscola can score some points and keep pace, because I know reynolds will score, then it could be a good game but if the QB throws ints all night it'll be over by half.

Yeah, coach Chappell felt sorry for you are he would have beat you worse.Six in a row and seven next year.By the way you only got ten points in first half .So 13 still beats ten.Cry me a river.

Got to give your fan base credit , they admit they have average team, unlike the idiot Pisgah fans on here, you know in the real world Pisgah fans know they are not that good.

Lol you guys are pathetic braging about beating tuscola. Who have you beat thats good this season? What have you done in playoffs last few seasons ?

I said before the season started on here that West was a year off. That great JV team from last year will be up next year and despite starting good this year, we've been dealt a ton of injuries, one in a car crash, that resulted in us having to dip into the JV roster. That's depleted our JV roster after another good start for them as well. Oh well, get the young guys experience. I'm really looking forward to next season.

Reynolds dominated tuscola tonight . Once Reynolds figured out tuscola was one dimensional they were loading up the box and sending lb every play . Tuscola non existent pass game was for lack of better words PATHETIC . Coach has got to make the switch . Reynolds d-1 q.b. Was running the ball with 5 minutes left in the game up 37 ! Gonna bite coach in the butt if he continues this. ( done it against Erwin to ) Reynolds has twice the talent tuscola has and it showed! Proud of tuscola fight several injuries in the game for tuscola but we gotta regroup for Asheville next week . Congrats Reynolds on your win

No disrespect to Tuscola, but man y’all need to come up with a better offensive plan. Every play was line up #9 on the right or left and run it that way. If you never throw it you would be better off lining up all linemen and just run it straight ahead, why even bother with receivers? That can’t be fun to watch each week.

I don’t know about the Erwin game but I was on the sidelines tonight and the QB wasn’t suppose to pull the ball on that play, he did that on his own and was quickly told not to do it again.

This is what happens when you run a Hall of Fame coach out of town to hire a JV coach. Stevie Wonder can call a better game than Tuscola's OC. It is OK to call a pass on another down other than 3rd and long. All the current coaching staff had to do was to go to a pass heavy version of the triple option. Tommy Pursley had gifted them that offense and it averaged 30 points a game. It has worked for South Point for 30 years. Tuscola spent the four years to learn it and they just scrapped it. Yeah, let's take a great high school offense for teams with no talent and try to change it. Tuscola's defense is much better this year though. I love how aggressive ACR is on defense with all the blitzing, fake blitzing and stunts. It is a true pleasure to watch as the opponent does the same old s**t every series. Reynolds attacks offenses and blitzes several times a game and are totally aggressive in their approach. Reynolds had much better talent, but the ACR coaches put on a clinic compared to that crap show from Haywood County.
It is fairly obvious the Tuscola of old will never be back as long as the parents are in control of who the coach has to be and the players are below average talent. What the hell happened in Waynesville, they use to come over to Buncombe County and kick everyone's asses. I hope Doug Brooks doesn't have to watch this bunch of pansies. Getting your butts beat is one thing, acting like a bunch of brats with personal fouls all night is another. Win with class and lose with class. No one expected Tuscola to win this game, but they can at least be semi competitive. Tonight they were not even close.

It’s almost like Tuscola is stuck in the 80’s and everyone else has moved forward with innovative offenses. They do have a better defense but with so many players playing both ways they seemed exhausted after halftime.

Reynoldsrocks 2 my point is why is he even in the game ? Against Erwin he was in with less than 3 minutes up a ton. Gonna get hurt and rockets want overcome it . Even Danny Wilkins mention it twice on radio during game . No sour grapes just seen to many bad things happen to good players.

Realityrulz.....what was the score against Reynolds last year when pursley was putting his high powered offense on display...look it up...offense is still the same, completely one dimensional, absolutely no difference. You can beat bad teams but not above average ones with no passing game and seemingly unwilling to change a few things..specifically the QB position, offense is the same but defense is better than it ever was under pursley.

Exactly. Pursley was just as predictable.So much so that coaches were astonished on the sideline he wouldn't make adjustments whatsoever.

When you only throw on third down. It doesn't matter who is QB. Hard to throw when you're running for your life.If you noticed AC throws on first second a lot like most teams.

Nice point pisgah bear but you got to have A. a qb. B. a player who isn’t scared to death C. a player who doesn’t mind contact. We have one on the team coach doesn’t want to make the switch cause it will make waves with the family . Jmo
