A friend sent this and It looks like we really.... really need to be scared of LSU. This was the depth chart for the NCAA Championship game and what's left of the 2 deep

McMath and Marshall will be enough to give us plenty of problems....IF Brennan can get them the ball. His OL and his own ability to do so are huge question marks.

Their D doesn’t scare me....we left a lot of points on the field last year against them even with the JoeMo offense. Could be interesting....the big wildcard might be how much push and pressure our front 7 on D can put on their young OL.

If they have the recruiting machine under O going then you can imagine next 5 or 4 star up. They always have athletes. Qb has always been their question until last year. If they have a guy who can accurately read and pass then they can be to tier. They usually are anyway just not championship caliber. Not sure Brennan is the guy to be that level but these guys win tons of games with whoever at qbs and no matter how many they lose to nfl. The 2017 year when they lost to us and Troy was about as bad as they get. But I don't think they will be that down.

Are you being sarcastic?? That's a ton of losses.

He's being sarcastic, but doesn't really need to be. LSU is certainly not going to be the juggernaut they were last year. But we have some significant holes ourselves and have to play them the first game, when we are installing a completely new offense and defense. They are certainly not unbeatable, but I think even the optimistic take is that if we are good, it will be later in the year before we get good, and while they will have their own transition pains at the beginning of the year, athleticism should win out in that scenario, so that means LSU should be ok.

I agree that they are still very talented and will likely win the majority of their games. But you also can't discount the fact that lost more than any team one team has in recent memory, and not just with players. They had a lot of big changes on the coaching staff too.

Odds are we still lose to them by double digits, but you can't totally rule out us giving them a run for their money. And overall I think they take a pretty noticeable step back this year. I think they lose at least 3 games.

9, 1, 2 are gone and that makes this game an opportunity. They will replace them with 4 & 5 star athletes as someone else said and that is the difference. There is still a lot of experience coming back and after winning an NC they will walk out with a lot of swagger. We just have to strike early to get in their heads. My biggest concern is our defense.

I initially wasn’t thinking much about the guys that LSU was going to have to replace aside from Burrow, but this is starting to get a little crazy. Even with their sea of elite recruits on the roster, that’s a heck of a lot of guys to replace in one year.

I need to stop reading these updates because it’s slowly giving me a sense of hope which has typically been a grave mistake in my lifetime
