Wonderful technical by Coach.
He has to protect Cliff. That was an unfortunate 4 point swing but Cliff was blatantly hacked.
Cliff seemed to play more inspired offensively so it was a good Tom Young T.
In a league of awful officiating this crew might be the worse. Just so poor.
Nebraska almost won the game because of their foul shooting. It took Rutgers forever to get into the one and one but maybe that was a good thing.

Pike stuck up for Cliff and then Cliff responded. Techs can give the other team free points but more importantly they can inspire players to take it to another level
The refs change how they call a game at any moment. It’s annoying
Both of Pike's technicals at Rutgers resulted in overtime wins at the RAC (ohio State last year)
This may have been the worst reffed Big game and there have been some bad ones they didn’t call so many things on Nebraska and then the epitome of their poor reffing they call a phantom foul on Nebraska when Cliff has a breakaway dunk at the end of regulation

Yessir. At the time, I was not happy with the impact to the score in the short term. But clearly, it lit an inferno under Cliff and resulted in a connected team that fought for each other.

I stood and cheered when he got T'd up and the guy behind me says "what are you clapping for, Pike got a tech called against him"? I smiled and said "I know, you should be clapping too". In the next few minutes we had a couple of chippies called in our favor. The officiating overall was middle school level.
