Yes, but Pike was never all in with that group of guys. He has his targets and is getting them.

King may be the best senior in NJ--------talented enough to be a 1 or 2 and done kid.

At this point in the rebuilding process that kid isn't coming here.

His teammate PG Luther Muhammed committed to Buckeyes----a really solid player IMO.

Oregon and Maryland were the likeliest teams to land King who really wanted a Kentucky offer....Calipari never offered, otherwise he was heading to Lexington.

Do you blame them for that ? I certainly don't.

We have a system right now where we have sports that everyone is making obscene amounts of money except the participants .

They shouldn't feel like they have a right to some of it ?

I'm a poor kid from the south side of nowhere and some guy is offering me large amounts of cash to do what I'm going to do anyway for the next whatever years at some school while another school isn't.

How many young people can say no to that ?

Not many in my view.

Until there are real penalties for recruiting infractions the status quo will continue because there is too much money involved and the NCAA shows a lack of interest.

Correct but the issue in a situation like a Louisville is if you give them the death penalty for 2 years which IMO you would be justified doing you literally wreck the economy of the area.

That's how tied the city and the area around the Arena is to Ville Basketball.

Their sports programs drive the local economy.
