Tulsa football coaches picked up another addition to their 2024 recruiting class over the weekend with the commitment of Longview (TX) defensive back Daedrion “Buddha” Garrett. The 6-foot, 200-pound safety chose TU over offers from Boston College, North Texas, Louisiana Tech, Texas State, Arkansas State and others.

My guess is borderline of 2/3. He'll either be a high 2-star or a low 3-star most likely.

He gets to where the action is quickly, and is a sure tackler...We can
use that skill set very well...

We have a long history of recruiting well in the piney woods of East
Texas...
I remember those East Texas guys like Reno Hutchins, Ricky Watts, Lovie Smith, Kenny Jackson, Michael Gunter, etc. John Cooper made a living recruiting that area. Those schools produced back then and still do.
