He’s incredibly underwhelming, not even a little bit upset about this.

If he ever leaves fsu…I hope we don’t pursue him. Not interested in Nebraska being the fall back safety transfer spot for in state kids that chose to leave

I'm not sure it will be Nebraska when he leaves FSU either. Just has "I'm leaving" written all over him to me lol.

Seems like a talented kid though. Not a Husker so it is what it is. Not sure if he burned any bridges on the way back to Tallahassee or not.

According to Rhule, Nebraska HS players will not have Nebraska as a fallback option if they sign elsewhere. But he says a lot of things he doesn’t actually mean.

Yeah, he needs to keep a list of all the ******** he says as a reminder to either stop saying that stuff or follow through on it.

Bear Tenney was the only HS TE commit for Nebraska. And now he's gone.
I think we’ll be fine there. Dana might not of been sold on him. Mac Markway will be back. Boerkircher, Ingwerson, Fidone, Lindenmeyer, Flint, Carter Nelson and several walk ons. Nelson will probably mature and and add weight this off season. Not sure how many TEs we can carry.

Yeah, but will anyone be anywhere long?

Idk. We NEVER really know. I just get those kinda vibes from him. Whether it was Nebraska or some other school. Can see him moving to choice number two early. But like you said that's not really abnormal these days.

Well he will get a chance to show whether he means it or not imo. In this case I honestly don't care either way. I think kid is a good athlete. I also think he's never been truly committed to any school. Could be totally wrong of course. Rhule can say whatever he wants but end of the day I think it's a case by case with in state kids. Personally I don't see the difference in whether the kid is from Nebraska or not. If you think he can really help you and wants in I don't think you turn him down out of spite because he turned you down initially. But that's just my opinion. Wouldn't the same rules apply to any other kid you recruited out of HS that u missed on? Case by case basis? I don't think you can do truly make blanket statements like that...

Wherever a kids started out at, he better have produced if he wants to transfer here. I’d be reluctant to take anybody that transferred more than once

Good for him. At least he understands the word "commitment."
Yeah. I hope my wife always stays committed to me too. Goes on a few dates, has her pic taken with some guys, then I throw some more money at her, and bam, she's all mine again. Love that gals loyalty.

We can only carry 105 total. Most Walk-ons will not be back

I agree but with the scholarship limit expanding there's likely to be a few walk-ons earn scholarships due to practice performance. I won't be surprised if we leave a fair number of scholarships unfilled in order to leave room for transfers or walk-ons who impress in camp. I'm curious to see how they handle the numbers.

Agreed, don't necessarily need a HS TE every year. We have plenty of TE's on the roster. I think we should really consider moving HH to TE full time as well.

I’m all for this now that Kaelin should be taking most of the snaps moving forward to next season..

I'd agree with that also. No more non producers.
