Was curious, so looked up how many people had swept the player of the year awards - including Academic All American of the year.

Caitlin Clark 2023
Aliyah Boston 2022
Maya Moore 2011
Rebecca Lobo 1995

That would be the complete list of players that were the Academic All American of the Year and swept all the Player of the Year awards - same season.

Candace Parker has won the all, Academic All American of the Year in 2008, swept all the National Player of the Year awards in 2007 (only missed the Wade in 2008)

Also never realized that Jan Jensen was the Academic Player of the Year, 1991.

Didn’t S Carolina have 5 players drafted in the top 30 or something like that? It’s not like they were chopped liver.

Geno handled us pretty well early season if I recall correctly. Without Bueckers. ;)
So did NC State, what exactly is the point you're trying to make? Next year will obviously have it's challenges, but that South Carolina team we beat was one of the best of all time.

I wasn't minimizing our win over South Carolina this past season. UConn, with Buecker's on the floor, and their returning players, will be extremely tough next year. Arguably her and Fudd are the best backcourt in the Country. IMO Staley doesn't get out of Storrs last year with the 4 point win had Paige been playing. The kid is as close as it gets to Clark.
