Some more complete notes now with the completion of the Elite 24 game:
2016 SF Wenyen Gabriel- He didn't get much playing time so he wasn't able to really showcase his game. The setting of one on one up and down play also doesn't fit his style. However, he did have a couple of nice long outlet passes. No worry regardless he will be receiving a major bump in the next Rivals ratings. Top 5 of UConn, Duke, Kentucky, Maryland, and Providence. UConn looks to be right in the middle with him.
2017 SG Hamidou Diallo- Everyone knows he's an elite athlete. He had a couple dunks, a layup, and a free throw. One dunk after he split a double team and finished hard at the rim which is where he excels. His jumper is progressing and is much more consistent. UConn will be in it with him until the very end with an excellent chance of him playing his college ball in Storrs.
2016 SF Mario Kegler- He's a very skilled and versatile player on the wing. Could play both small forward and some stretch four in college. He has a good jumper as he hit a catch and shoot three and had a fadeaway mid range jumper among a couple finishes around the rim. UConn, Maryland, Indiana, and Arizona should be receiving official visits as long as he takes all of them. It doesn't look like UConn is in his upper echelon but things can change with a visit and more time.
2017 PG Trevon Duval- Elite level guard with superb handle, driving, and finishing ability. He will be an excellent player in college and beyond. He was one of the standouts in this years game. Still early with him but it looks like he will have the opportunity to basically go to any college in the country.
2017 PF Billy Preston- He had a very productive night with many rebounds and scored in multiple ways. He banked in a three in the second half and had some put backs and layups down low. With time his mid range and perimeter game will get better. Preston was one of the four co-mvp's in the game. UConn has been in on him early but teams out west and down south will be very hard to beat out.
