I spent the whole season explaining to my wife and kids that this is the best conference in the country. That the sweet sixteen was going to be littered with B1G teams. Man O' man

It really does not show anything about which is the "best" conference. It only shows that, on any given day, some teams get hot and others do not.

I got a "don't swear around the kids" after the Illinois game. So I went for a drive and put the Clash on full blast until I calmed down
I had already tapped out by the time Wisconsin lost

I know someone who wrestled in the B1G about 20 years ago. He always said it was 10x more difficult to win at the NCAAs because almost nobody from the B1G was healthy. They spent all season and conference tourney killing each other. I think we are seeing some of that right now. Not one of these non B1G teams played a schedule any B1G team did. They are all banged up and tired.

I'm cryin' over here at Illinois and Wisconsin losing today. LOL - no way. Happy to see these teams lose. Illinois can take a flying **** at a rolling donut. Wisconsin, too. The only other B1G team I was rooting for was Maryland, and that was only because they played UConn.

Why is this hard to understand, NCAA tournament is all about matchups, not about beating a bunch of Q1 conference games, and doesn't matter how good your team is. It is understanding who your opponent is, what they do and don't do well and taking advantage of it.

Illinois losing to Baylor by 13 no B1G refs, Missouri by 3 or beating an average Duke team is more indictive of the team they are than winning 16 games in the B1G.
Ohio St struggled to beat ND by 5
Wisconsin lost @ Marquette, beat Loyola (Ill) at home by 13 with 3 B1G refs, Eric Curry, Scirotto, and Eppley, Loyola 24 PFs, Wisc. 16 PFs.
Purdue losing to Clemson and Miami with 4 freshman in 8 man rotation, rarely goes far in any NCAA tournament.

There is no footage of Michigan struggling OOC, Iowa beat UNC and lost to Gonzaga. Maryland lost to Clemson by 17. Rutgers no footage struggling OOC without B1G refs. Bad and bias B1G refereeing is killing the conference this year adjusting to the way real refereeing is.

The conference needs to recruit better! Only Howard and Underwood and Izzo consistently recruit national top classes.
Plus I think teams need to change their style to more up and down as opposed to slow temp rugged style.

I see the Big 12!teams and they re athletic and much more physically stronger than your average Big 10 team.

I'm most surprised in the difference in speed and quickness. I never considered the conference as a speed/quickness one but the difference against other teams has been significant

I don’t understand why people think the top end of the B1G is what made the conference great.

The strength is in the middle.

This! It is the slog through the entirety of the conference schedule. No nights off. A physical battle every game.

Eh, who cares. The Big Ten is just too important to worry about. They all could lose by 50 and next year the same amount of games in primetime, same exposure, the same amount of teams in the tournament (well, maybe not 9 as that is probably the limit). Big Ten is an institution.

Plus, it's better for Rutgers to have such parity in the Big Ten.

Now the Big East is a conference that can not afford a few bad tournaments strung together. Villanova's titles will become a distant memory soon enough, and Nova can't carry the conference forever

There is nothing "little" about the Big Ten. This is an amazing conference across all sports, too successful to have one bad day dent its reputation. I wouldn't trade this conference for a week in the B12 or the ACC.

We are in the right place and should be proud to be there.

Illinois literally had "Big Ten refs" today against Loyola.

The refs work games in multiple conferences.
