Lions just got absolutely robbed

[11thEagleFan]

Terrible officiating is terrible. How can it be this bad? Two penalties for illegal hands to the face on the same player that were just atrocious. In the 4th quarter.

Williams sitting his *** on the goal line cost me GB -3.5 and the o45.5. Smart play but I have to admit i was rooting for Crosby to miss that FG.

I hate what football has become. It’s just not entertaining any more. Lions were straight robbed on those two calls on Flowers.

Gotta protect them cash cows.

Green Bay>Detroit

I missed the first one, but the second was absolutely bogus at that point in the game. The ref that threw the flag clearly didn’t have a good view or else it wouldn’t have been thrown, so he called a penalty based on what he “might” have seen. You can’t throw flags on maybes at that juncture. You just can’t

I wonder if the video review bailout has eroded officials sharpness and focus. Before this they knew their ability to get it right was solely on their call. As video review came about they had a safety net to rely on which is good but it might have the unintended consequence of less accuracy for calls that are not reviewable.

[dogmatic]

I agree. Both calls were for the same technique on the same player and were absolutely wrong both times. OL sold it by leaning his own head back and got the calls.

Why that call should not be video-reviewable when others are is beyond me. Just petrifyingly stupid.
