Reimer and Heinrich look terribly slow. Their tackling is atrocious. Their backups looked even slower and could not tackle. #5 is running with concrete in his cleats and the 4th backer #15 is a true freshman from the middle of Nebraska. What in the hell are we doing at middle linebacker?

Yep. Week 0 come and gone and nothing at all to look forward. I didn't watch the game listen to the game. Didn't really even think about it Saturday. I have zero interest until the national punch line and NU head coach Scott fraud is long gone.

Reimer played ok but Henrich looked badly out of shape.
That pathetic effort he gave chasing the running back down the sideline was an absolute embarrassment.

Watch Heinrich -- at the snap, he charges straight to the LOS and engages a blocker. He makes it too easy for them to block him, and then it's impossible for him to slide down the LOS into the hole where the actual play is taking place. I don't know if he's slow or not, but he is way out of position too often

I've been saying this for a while now. LB are only good if the targets aren't moving. Both of them are horrible in open field and Hendrich can't even make the tackle when he gets there.

Heinrich is the highest rated LB recruit (per Rivals) Frost/Rudd brought in from 2019-2021. Three of four next highest (Greene, Hannah, Hoochuli) all transferred, with Mauga who has not done much in his career, as the 4th. Not sure if the remaining recruits from the 2021 class (Malcolm, Kpai) are even in the rotation. Reimers was a walk-on. Did Jo-Jo Dohmann, who was a Riley recruit, mask a lot of weakness in the LB corp these past few years that became more glaring on Saturday? If the LB room is as thin as it appeared on Saturday, not sure why Ruud hasn't gotten more heat.

It’s what you’re taught and have to do if you don’t have the speed or athleticism. We’re mid 3* “U” for a reason. People always act surprised when mid 3* guys look slow or aren’t as athletic. What do you expect. It’s not going to change either.

Imo this is frosts blueprint, every year we look sluggish like their running with lead shoes now by mid season the team is up to speed. So is it how they train or lack of or working the player to hard in practice and they’re spent come game day just like bill Jennings?

We finished the season on an 0-6 run last year. At no time has this team ever been up to speed under the direction of Scott Frost

I saw Mauga-Clements last year make some great plays on special teams and defense when he got a chance. He flies to the football with bad intentions. It really sucks this is his final year of eligibility.

Mauga-Clements needs to start over Henrich. It couldn't be a downgrade from what we currently have and that dude plays with bad intentions.

The one thing that I just can't wrap my head around about Scott Frost is who he gives playing time to. From RB, WR, LB, it doesn't make sense.

LOL if he's not making the decision and he's supposed to be the CEO now, from RB (No Rahmir, our best All-purpose back), WR (Martin & Liewer are not good and shouldn't play), Colton Feist starting, this is a dumpster fire.

Stop putting lbs on receivers on 3rd down.

It's been getting exposed for 5 years now.

any idiot who thought ballsack Chinander was some sort of whiz based on last season because we had some close games should show themselves the door

We fired a bunch of underperforming coaches on O when a couple of the D guys should have gone with them

****.. now I have to spend the next 5 weeks just waiting for the press conference that should have happened after year 2 or 3

It's just crazy to me how badly we are outschemed and coached every week .... yeah, in other news, water is wet and the sky is blue, but my gosh, how bad is this staff week in and week out? No amount of athleticism and talent can overcome this incompetent boobery, feels like yet another reboot sigh....

I wish I could. I wish I cared enough to be in misery. I just can't care about this program if the true leaders of this school or the boosters don't care. Scott Frost is an arrogant coach that has no business coaching, talking to media being leader of men. I wish he would go back to Florida to be never heard of again. I can't care with that loser still head coach.

He is slow. I ran circles around him in a pickup game before his first year at Nebraska.

You can fix this in two years, make Frost or his replacement keep their word! He said he would combine the old Nebraska way (the power option) with his Oregon Air RAID, he gave up on that after year one now you got what you got. Players want to play for Alabama, Oregon, and Oklahoma because they stick to their roots. Bring in an Academy staff who know discipline and structure and in year two you’ll have 8 wins. The majority of our players save one or two receivers want to be an option offense because that is Nebraska. We never went to the recruiting pool to get six or seven four star receivers we developed the strongest, hungriest most physically dominate team in the country and high schoolers knew it. We didn’t just have the best team in the 80’s and 90’s we had the team with the biggest TV audience and the best brand name in college football. You didn’t get that by playing multiple players every game who don’t choose to practice, Frazier, Berlinger and Glover played multiple games with injuries and never sat out a spring practice.

I know it was just a snapshot, but that pic on twitter where there’s a 7 yard wide hole at the LOS and a 20 yard diameter circle behind it with zero defenders in sight as a NW RB sees the open sea of Irish green pretty much sums up a lot, both in the literal and symbolic sense.

I saw the same picture in person back in 07….against USC. Never thought northwestern would be such a juggernaut

The funny thing is we frequently come out and look all world on offense to start the game. This was no different. That first drive was a thing of beauty. Then we just **** ourselves.

One of my memories of that game was the Cosgrove special 12 yard cushion against WRs and USC just threw easy passes to the sideline and watched our CBs give up 6 yards guaranteed before they missed their open field tackle.

I loved the opening drive tempo. All gas no brakes…. before Frost throws a blockade down in front just to see what happens.
