Reimers and Henrich are the best pair of inside LBs we've had in many years. But our outside LBs aren't to be confused with Von Miller.

More than likely our ILBs will be in the top 3 in the conference. it's OLBs that we really need to step up imo. Also depends if we are gonna be running more of a 4-3 or a 4-2-5 and if that's the case ILBs will be stellar and DE's may very well shine as well.

Our LBs will not be better than OSU , PSU, Wisky, Michigan for certain. Doubtful they are on par with MSU or Iowa either. Kool aid in the off season continues to be a mind altering drug.

the linebacker talent is precisely what you would expect to see on a team that went 1-9 in the conference

watch at the 2:50 mark - Heinrich wiffs while Reimers is getting pancaked 15 yards past the LOS
those 2 are awful

Kind of undersized for Big10 at ILB even though they are good players

If you include Nelson, Tannor and we get Mathis then I would say they could be. Henrich and Reimers are a solid duo. Campbell from Iowa is the best overall and Wisconsin lost a few to the NFL. Ohio St has some talent but their D hasn't been great over the past couple years. Michigan just lost their 2 stud OLBs

This is just sad. Seek help.

The fact that you don't have anything better to do on a holiday weekend says it all.

Truly pathetic.

I'm confused by your comparison -- isn't Von Miller in the NFL? Our guys are in college, right? There isn't any college LB good enough to be compared to Von Miller. Also, Von Miller is an outside LB that rushes the QB, Reimers and Henrich are inside LB's, right? I'll answer my own question -- Correct they are!

And for the record they are good inside LB's and will only get better!

GO BIG RED!!!

Henrich is overrated. I do think we have some good young OLB talent in Gunnerson, Butler, and maybe Gifford moves there eventually.

okay, our outside linebacker don't compare to Broderick Thomas, Trev Albert, or Jimmie Williams. Better?

Yet another reason to hate the B1G… evidently, according to this guy, we played 10 conference games last year while everyone else played 9.

0/10 troll attempt.

Henrich is overrated yet Butler who has done nothing but shove over a walk-on OT in a spring game isn't?

He's constantly **** on by fans...not sure how that makes him overrated?
We had a comment saying he's the best ILB in years. I've seen him play enough to know that's not true. For one, he's slow, probably runs a 5.0 40 at best. Second, he often gets himself out of position. He's a mediocre starting linebacker.

1. We will know when we have the best in the league when they start making the post-season awards.
2. The way they are used in Chins D isn't likely to get them many honors. It seems to me that our ILBs are not your typical body types for that position.

So the comparison to best in the league is difficult at best.

Your first sentence is incorrect. He took bad angles last year, he's not slow physically. Once again I'll ask... how is he overrated if most fans think he's bad?

I'll open this up for discussion, did the spring game tell us how good our pass rush is going to be or how bad our offensive tackles are going to play. For me it's somewhere in the middle, we won't be the best but we won't be the worst either. We played a lot of young kids on the OL last year and we had a veteran DL players we lost but the next guys up with a few new transfer players are going to make our DL better than most think. The mystery still remains the QB position but I feel it's in better hands than last year. jmo

Alberts played in the 4-3. Williams and Thomas were in the 5-2. Nebraska has a lot of good edge rushers in their history, one of their better positions.

I don't know the answer to the linebacker question, but kool aid can hit you two ways......mindless enthusiasm or brain-dead pessimism. Neither are good worlds to live in.

Not trying to pick a fight but selecting a YouTube video to make a point is kinda silly when there are a bunch that could counter your point.

And you suck as a troll.
