With all the people dying from drugs at such a young age & the stock market crashing, I'm thinking life insurance is a good investment.
Yes I know this sounds pretty ******. I've buried my son , nephew, 3 cousins & tomorrow my brother all do to drugs . I'm repeatedly called to donate & I do . After awhile savings get gone & under Biden it's hard for middle class to build it back up , so would it be wrong, immoral to do this ?
Funeral homes make money on deaths that's not wrong. I could donate part of the payment & keep the rest ... trying to think outside of the box so to speak.

You mean pay for policies for some one else then keep the payment after settling their burial costs?

You'd need to be the named beneficiary to receive the payment. So they'd acquire the policy and name you beneficiary,.

You'd need to prove you have an insurable interest in the person to take the policy on them outright and the person would need to give consent...but the insurer might not like it if they sense you're doing it for personal gains.

P.S. Sorry for all that tragedy

Didnt know I had to do all that ...
Thanks drugs is decimating my family, such a Shame . Let's keep that border open so the fentanyl can freely flow ...
I'd wager just about every person on this board has had this devil cause them grief.
How can we fix it ? What makes a person look around & see what it causes & then say hey give me some of that ? As parents & family do we try & help them or push them to rock bottom as fast as we can ? Qhat works ?

I'm with you. When my youngest from my first marriage died from cocaine OD, I paid the full freight, bought my ex some new clothes for the funeral, my present wife's idea, and then transport back from SC to WV. It cost $20,000. When the oldest died a year ago from OD, he was cremated. That's much more doable. I have insurance my last two. It's a sad thing what drugs have done and I feel for you. If I were President, I'd declare a national emergency and deploy troops to the southern border and ports to search for it.

Jeff is a chemical engineer and works for BASF in Charlotte. Doing very very well. Jason was the youngest son born during first day of boards in Dec. He was 5 weeks early and left earth way too early. John was the one who would go to the picnics at Krebs park. He was the oldest. Thanks, I have to say, back in 06, it was a horrible year. Did you ever meet my sister? She was in hygiene school while we were in our junior and senior dental school years. She passed away two xmas eves ago right before John

Actually, I do remember meeting your sister. You've been through a lot. Many sympathies your way.

Yes we should declare war at our southern border.
How do we help those on it ? Do we continue to provide all their needs so they destroy themselves or from the moment we know of the addiction we provide nothing but a means to rehab? I've taken the hard core approach now of stay away from me . I'm not paying for your piss poor choices anymore. Seems the more help we give them the more drugs they do .
