People tend forget (especially whinny Leftists) that Trump won his second term in the White House largely based on two overall important promises:
- Stop the mass invasion of immigrants into this country and deport those here illegally
- Stop the outflow of American Capital and jobs overseas by increasing tariffs on our unfair Foreign trading partners
There were of course other issues, like energy independence, school choice vouchers, tax cuts, and ending DEI "wokeness" policies, but
Trump's main message was those first two bullet points. Trump was very clear, and very consistent in that message.
Apparently, Leftists either thought he was lying, or they didn't believe he'd ever follow through on his promises.
Three Lessons Democrats Need to Learn from This Defeat
excerpt:
With a core campaign message of deporting illegal immigrants and using tariffs to restore American manufacturing, Trump was able to build a coalition, largely of older voters, rural voters, white voters, and voters without college degrees, four demographics of which a majority voted for him. "
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them," Sanders wrote. "First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well."
*editor's note:
You rarely see Black and/or Latino protestors at these militant anti-ice rallies. Know why? White Leftists, so enraged over Trump, didn't even bother asking Blacks & Latinos to join them!
lack of diverse organizer networks mean anti-Trump protesters are largely white
excerpt:
“there’s a trust that needs to be built.” ....They don’t know who we are. We’re new. So who the hell are we to say, ‘Come protest with us’?” she said. “And I recognize that it’s something that is going to take a while to establish those relationships, but we’re working on it.”
*editor's note: Know who the "real" racists are? White Liberals who claim to be in "solidarity" with black & brown folks!
Frauds....all of 'em
