What are you hoping to see vs Glenville State?

I'll be looking for.....
- Injury free win
- Who steps up early on at PG
- Any new facets on the press
- Fouling/rule changes/shortened shot clock
- Which lineup/personnel seems most effective: traditional 2 guard or any 3-guard looks
- Potential in the newcomers

Anybody going to the game? Anybody care to weigh in?

It will be interesting to see if the new Nike uniforms are as stupid looking in person as they appear in photos. Perhaps there will be little Canarys sewn into the shoulders which will somehow make everything okay. I still don't know why Nike didn't put a lantern on the football helmets to simulate the lanterns miners wore into the mines replete with a pepperoni roll across the back of each jersey engraved with the players name. Honestly.

Not exhibition related, but it's funny to see SI's bracket projections in their preview issue today.

Has West Virginia an 8 seed & beating 9 seed Butler.

Then in the next round West Virginia rematches and loses to Kentucky. Again. Can't disagree we'll draw KY as the committee ensures it's our destiny. I think we'll meet either KY or UMD again in March.

SI really went out on a limb and picked UNC, Duke, Kansas and KY as the Final Four. Then UNC over Kansas.

UNC will fold. Ole Roy is past his prime. Their PG is injury-prone and their front court is all "potential" still, even the seniors.....


The Dark Horse dominator will be Texas...... A roster full of juniors and seniors and a coach with an easily-installable new system fueled by effort and athleticism (which Texas has in spades)

If they put it together, they could win our conference and more

Speaking off the tournament, I'm going to Vegas for the opening weekend. I've been to Vegas many times, but never during the tournament. It's suppose to be awesome. Any of you guys have any advice on where to watch games?

Down the road in front of Monte Carlo is Double Barrell Bar and Grill................ a country/western Hooters rip off that is fun, especially if your a single guy

Emeril Lagasse has a cool sports bar in the Palazzo that has huge tvs and is couch-seating only

Twin Peaks is awesome too............. lots of TVs, food and eye candy

Cool. I was just there last month and stayed at the Belaggio while at a conference at Caesars. I love going out there. We always have a ball.

What is wrong with the unis? I thought they looked nice and plain, which makes them good in my opinion!! Maybe I was looking at wrong pictures!!

I'll be there. WVU-Richmond Thurs. SDSU or Cal Friday. I want a shot at Cal. They are getting a lot of love in the preseason due to bringing in two top 10 rated freshmen.

We could get to them early perhaps and that potential win may be the gift that keeps giving. All in all we'll improve & be fine, but that would be a fantastic barometer & signature neutral court win if it is possible. Last year winning Puerto Rico propelled the team in a huge way.

re: Glenville game...

Myers is the most behind, but I still believe he'll be a contributor later. still need him considering Beetle is out. he seems to be the type who play better and better once they see the ball go through the basket. for him to not see that right off the bat at WV, that's a new experience.

Ahmad has a very high basketball IQ. he could be an ironic solution at PG in the event something like that's needed.

hard to take a lot from this one, but I felt shooting & passing was quite good. 3-point shooting may turn out to be much improved.

scored 85 vs Temple & 114 vs Glenville.

Carter with 15 & 5. looked great. that penetration & hoop before halftime was a play he could not make last year. don't care who you are playing against it showed something. Nate had a nice game & looked more comfortable/fluid.

as to the D, what we expected from an exhibition: 27 turnovers, 37 points off turnovers, 10 steals. saw nothing new & nothing much special done with trapping or any variations. I'm pleased. No injuries either.
