With a SOS that could end #1 in the nation heading into the Dance and 3 more Quad 1 games guaranteed with as many as 2 or 3 more in the SECT, UKs seed could be anywhere from a #9 to a #3.
If UK wins out and wins the SECT they would be a 3 seed.
If UK loses out I think we would be a #9 seed.
It really is a fascinating set of circumstances.

Fascinating? You want fascinating? You can’t handle fascinating!

Fascinating was 90s Pitino or 2010s Calipari.

This crap is depressing.

If Kentucky wins 2 out of the last 3 I could see getting a 6 seed if they win their 1st SECT game playing on Thursday as a 5-7 seed which is what I think they would be in the SECT if they won 2 out of their last 3.

If they had just won that Auburn game they would be a 6 seed right now most likely. That was a very costly loss both for SECT and NCAAT seeding.

If they lose 2 out of their last 3 then probably looking at a 7 or 8 seed pending what happens in SECT

We will probably be an 8 or 9... I'd rather us be a 10 or 11. Or 6/7 ... 8/9 is the worst

Win the next 3 and SECT - 5
Lose the next 3 and early SECT - 10 or 11

if we beat Vandy , we might be winning few games between remaining schedule ,SEC and NCAA tournament….

Lose to Vandy and there is a highly possibility not win any more games this season.

This team has too many problems to have a deep NCAA run regardless of seeding.

Plus, Mark Pope didn’t show consistency on preparing the team for games. Even last year, we got blown up on games .

the team that played the last few games doesnt even look close to the team that played UF. They gave it their all , got hosed by refs and just gave the hell up the rest of the way so I'd be surprised if they win another game unless we get lucky to get USC in our first SEC T game

They would never be a 3 seed, too many blowout losses. They could win the next 6 games & do no better than a 5 imo. Obviously the extra games are winning the SEC tournament & the last 3 regular season games. We're an 8 seed currently according to Joe Lunardi.

This dude actually said a 3 seed lol. At this point I’m guessing they end up somewhere between 7 and 10.

Seed could be as high as a 5 or as low as a 10 imo depending on how it shakes out. I suppose if you went 3-0 in the remaining regular season games and won the SECT, you could maybe leg out a 4, but that isn't going to happen.

I don't see anything higher than a 5 and that's unlikely as can be.

This team's seed will likely fall on stony ground.

I’ll go with 4 as absolute ceiling and that’s winning out and winning the SECT. Highly unlikely.

Floor is a First 4 play-in game as an 11 and that’s if we lose out and go 0-1 in the SECT.

I think we end up with an 8 or 9. I would rather be a 10 than 8/9 because the second game might be a little more manageable, and just like with the 8/9 games, the 7/10 matchup is a toss up.

The 8-9 seed line is probably where we are headed if we perform well for the remainder and the SECT. A better seed went out the door for sure after that UGA debacle in Rupp. There will be no easy roads for this team going forward. We can just hope for the best and see what happens.

Yeah, UK always wins in fantasyland, but this is the real world.

Ky’s bucking for a 5 seed after today. Beat AM and we will be. Beat Fl and we move to a 4 heading into the SECT.
Win the SECT and we move to a 3 seed.
Maybe a 2 depending….

I think 3 is probably realistically out but it’s not because of a ceiling on what we could earn.

The combination of:

—Other top-25 teams that inevitably take unexpected losses as the season winds down

—There are different ways we could win the SECT and the one that takes us through the highest-ranked opponents possible would move the needle the most

Means we really could land in that 3–4 seed conversation mathematically and logically even despite our bigtime gaffes so far.

But the selection committee has a very consistent way of looking at any team whose name starts with K and ends with Y.

And that’s what will make 4 our ceiling in the real world.

Here’s my best guesses. If UK wins two of the last 3, they probably move up to a 7.

Lose two of the last 3, probably an 8.

Lose all three, maybe a 10.

Win all 3, maybe a 6.
Win 2-3 and play to Saturday at least in SECt and they get a 6 with an outside chance at a 5 if they go further and win. So much can happen with the teams projected anywhere between 5-10 before then that it’s hard to say right now.

Lots of delusional stuff in here from the OP

Winning today was great but Kentucky is either a 6 or 7 seed right now as of today with a brutal schedule of at Texas A&M and home to Florida still to come.

If Kentucky wins at A&M I would think they would be a 6 seed even with a loss to Florida.

Beat them both then you can talk 5 seed.

Then you have to see what happens in the SEC tournament.

Lunardi has Uk a 7 seed before Vanderbilt game, all hinges on how they do the rest of the way.

If they want any chance of making a sweet 16, they better hope they stay off the 8,9 line.

6 likely
5 possible
4 10% chance

I think I’d rather be a 6, honestly. The 1 seeds look scary good. Give me a game against a 3 seed for an opportunity to get in S16 and then take our chances against a 2.
