Lelo Prado out at USF

Looks like Coach Prado has resigned or has been let go at USF? Maybe he has retired, but just saw a job posting for the head baseball coach for USF. I definitely have fond memories of Coach Prado. My son attended the U of L Christmas baseball camp for 3 years and while my son was hitting in one of the cages, Coach Prado came over and said some really nice things to my son.

He did have a subpar season going 26-30.

Im with you nccard. I have nothing bad to say about Prado. He built a great foundation here and helped raise the money to build Patterson. When he left it was for nothing more than to go home. Cant fault a guy for that. Things just never seemed to fire for him down there and that's unfortunate.

I am very surprised he didn't get things going down there. With what he did while here at UL, I thought he would go down there and kill it. Between the better weather and recruits down south, I thought he would do much better then he has.

He's moving up to Associate AD. I do think, however, this is a reassignment, not necessarily a promotion.
