Why is there not a thread on Leach's press conference?
I think we were all looking forward to it and he did not disappoint.
He clearly recognized the horrendous play and coaching. He admitted his players got rattled and that some even quit and he said several times that it was a coaching problem.
Not sure if the coaches can make it all that much better. It is pretty evident that we do not have a ton of talent. But they all need to play to their ability every damn down.
I wasn't all that impressed with our play in the first quarter even though we went up 14-0. La Tech was shooting themselves in the foot
But the last twelve minutes we looked like we kinda cared.
Anyway, I thought we got a really solid press conference out of the guy and we're gonna need those for branding if the wins don't come.

I watched it and it made me feel a little better. He drinks water like Napoleon Dynamite.

He mentioned many times how much blame coaching deserved.

That's much different than he's historically spoken. One of my biggest gripes with him has been how consistently he throws his players under the bus without taking responsibility.

Lunch money to describe offensive line play made me openly laugh. 4 quarters of that **** and we are a pretty good team, another classic. The guy is brutally honest. Don’t give me coach speak, tell me the problems and fix them this week in practice. I am behind the guy 100%.

I loved that too, and then he said we started blocking once we ran out of our lunch money. I think another gem was when he was asked about la tech's defense and he just said they were just waiting for us to screw up and that all three phases of the game were seeing who could play the worst. He said he'd never seen that before.

Yeah, I laughed when he described the “contest” between the “three sides of the ball” to see which one could play the worst as being “fiercely contested.” Dude can bring the clever.
