Did anyone catch the post game coverage with ESPN displaying a banner across the bottom of the screen that read:

“NW: First Big 10 Championship game appearance in school history.”

Their archives must not go all the way back to the ancient history of 2018!

Also heard Golic say Andrew Marty transferred from the University of Wyoming like Peyton Ramsey did from Indiana. In actuality, Marty attended Wyoming High School just outside Cincinnati, Ohio.

Due to participation in the Zoom Watch "Party" I had much of the TV broadcast voice over on mute. Couldn't help but imagine though what Golic was thinking, if not saying, after all those shared years with Greenie bantering about the ups and downs of Notre Dame and Northwestern. Did that "color" other of his remarks as he provided color for our game?

Right you are! I don't think I've watched any NU games this year (all of them) in which the broadcast team was actually in the stadium. The only exception was the sideline reporters.

McDonough and Blackledge were at Ryan Field for the Wisconsin game. I think the broadcasters were on site for the MSU game as well. That might be it, though.

Broadcast team not being at the stadium has apparently become an increasing trend this year. They commented on it yesterday, saying it was weird to "throw it back to the studio" for other game highlights, when they are calling the game from the studio themselves.

Not a fan of it, but I guess it's the new normal.
