Last time STATE started 0-2?

Saw this question on the rant. Figured someone here knew.

Started 0-3 in 2006.

When is the last time State started 5-0? And how did that season turn out?

So...when most on the rant were in kindergarten

Not sure who downvoted my question, but pretty sure the answer was our best season in 60 years.

[karlchilders.sixpack]

What, 86 or there about?

[Cap'n Geech]

The combined score of our first two games was 0-49 that year. We lost to Tulane in Starkville and beat Bama in Tuscaloosa that year too.

Didn't downvote you, but does 8-0 2012 #webelieve ring a (cow)bell before Bama brought us back down to Earth?

[HotMop]

You didn't believe and a puppy died.

2014?

[wasabaka]

2014?

Nope. We played nobodies the first 7 games of 2012, and people thought the stars were aligning for us to beat Bama in Tuscaloosa. Hence #webelieve.

[wasabaka]

Prime example of our 7-0 team before the Bama game that year:

#webelieve turned into a 38-7 beat down. I was there.

[kired]

What?? You should look up the schedules from 2012 and 2014 to jog your memory

I thought you were replying to bruisers question.
